Harry Potter and the CMC have somehow managed to survive their first year at Hogwarts. Equestria has met Earth, and both are astonished at what they've discovered. The Muggles think Equus is a planet from another galaxy, or dimension. The Wizards all think that Equestria is Atlantis. The evidence for both groups appears conclusive. The changelings haven't been idle, though. And neither has been Tom Riddle and his supporters.

Wow, hit Featured on the first day, 12/08/20, and lasted until the 12th! Yeah, Ch. 1-4! Looks like Ch. 5 put it back for a short time. Ch. 6 lasted an hour on Featured. Ch.s 7-present lasted at least 2, and as many as 5 hours! (Except Ch 29, on Memorial Day -- no show)

The Crusaders are returning for their second semester at Hogwarts. You can look forward to a nice quiet and relatively uneventful experience. Well as uneventful as magic allows, anyway.

UPDATE: I am revamping 12 chapters to clean up the flow of the story and removing a plot element.

When a portal is opened between two otherwise disconnected worlds, a few reliable spells go a little crazy- and result in a series of letter-bearing owls passing through the portal. Several times.

As of today, 1/26/20, this story has been cancelled. I kinda hate to cancel a story that was going so well... But, to be completely honest, it sucks. When they talk about story 'arcs', they mean that if you were to make an outline for it, and use indentation to denote subplots and so on, each arc would form a rough arch shape against the side of the page, with the indentation. I just threw one together with this... and it looked like a list of bullet points. Random, incoherent events, tied together by nothing but SoL (No plot relevance to each other)... Not good, either by itself or for the future of the story.

This story is a sequel to Little Lost Pikachu

It has been over a month since an adorable Raichu named Nica crash-landed in a strange world called Equestria, and nearly a week since Astra and Ash’s pokemon followed, along with her charming brother Ace. After a few dangerous and thrilling adventures, and one or two snuggles, Twilight was able to find a way home and create a portal back to Alola.

Now, backed by Twilight, Starlight and Rainbow Dash, the pokemon begin their quest to reunite with their trainers and introduce the ponies to their world. Though, rather than come home to a lively vacation spot filled with humans and pokemon alike, they encounter a dangerous challenge, one they might not be able to defeat.

Will Twilight’s team and the Chu brigade be able to overcome the odds and defeat the foe that brought ruin to Alola? Or will they share the island’s fate?

Twilight sparkle just wanted to study, but by being forced to oversee the summer sun celebration, she found her first five friends and saved the world from eternal night. but she wouldn't get to enjoy the celebrations as a final, desperate attack caused the young mare to vanish off the face of Equis.

Ash Ketchum, a 10 year old boy from Pallet town with dreams of becoming a pokemon master, finds an unconscious girl on the side of the road on his way to get his first pokemon. upon waking her up, he invites her to join his journey.

One might consider a battle with an Alicorn to be a lost cause. He didn't, and if it wasn't for his eagerness to fight back, he might actually have won. But she wins, and saves Equestria once again.

But that's not the important part.

For what is important, nopony even knows it's there to be important, save the Alicorn herself and any who forget to specify 'summary' when asking the simple question of how the battle went.

Cancelled for lack of a plot.

The wail of the siren could be heard all across the island.

The attackers groan at the sound.  Their camouflage is perfect, the time impeccable.  It’s in the middle of the night- and the moon never shines here, for the storm.  There is not so much as a speck of light on the island.

But the alarm still went off.

Two squadrons of pegasi take flight, charging towards the island.  To get inside the defenses, before they can be stopped.

One of the two ships explodes with no warning.  No survivors.

Two squadrons of pegasus blood runs cold as the mountain peaks emit little pops, accompanied by momentary flashes of light.

Two squadrons of pegasi are dead before they hit the water.

The other ship explodes.  No survivors.

The attack is over.  The siren stops.

The first defender reaches his post, finds all is well.

He returns home.

While the above isn't technically part of the story, it does exist in the story timeline, before the beginning.

I don't know where I got the idea for this story. String of the Stars was originally intended to be an origin story for my take on Lyra, but didn't turn out as anything close. This has turned out much better, as such, so far.

While the opening may be a little dark, it is worth note that this is NOT a tragedy.
