The Lostbelts. Failed timeline of greater history of man, the history of winners born of the correct choices that lead to the right path of the present state of human history. These lostbelts are the results of human failing to follow the right path due to the wrong choices in life and were deemed unworthy or exsistance to the world they came from. Such is their nature of failure that they are even cut off from the greater multiverse as a result of this. But what if they were given a second chance at life, but on a different planet? Where they could be given the life that were stolen from them and thrive in a land no unlike their own? This is the tale written by the failures of the lostbelts kings and their subjects. [Crossover: MLP x FGO Cosmos in the Lostbelt]

This is a fic based on the Time Loop Files, the format of which was first codified by Innortal on fanfiction.net.
Here's a brief guide.
The basic idea is, one character (the Anchor, usually the main character of a fictional setting) is looping back to the very first moments of their parent series every time either they die or some kind of time limit expires. They of course end up monumentally stir crazy given enough time.
Eventually others start to loop as well.
The reset is not always perfect. Sometimes a loop's history will be different to the "prime" loop, or canonical plot.
"Crossover" or "Fusion" loops also occur, randomly. These can involve the home loopers having a guest, or the anchor for one universe spending time in another, or replacements of one character by another.
Vacation Loops are where the Anchor (or others) decide/s "buck it" and lets off steam by doing whatever comes to mind. There's little or no attempt to maintain the original timeline.

In addition, and particularly more recently, it should be known that this story has a collaborative element to it - people may submit loop ideas or loops, ideally at the Spacebattles thread (a link to the current version of which is on the Trope page), and they may become included.

As Twilight Sparkle was strolling around Ponyville during a visit to Applejack, she found a new type of gem that looked a lot like a Ruby but that was more maleable and contained a new type of magic she has never seen before, so she decided to bring it to her library to study it and see what it could bring to her and Equestria for prosperity.

As Twilight was studying the rock, Spike started to notice the gem to have a very nice shape and that it looked very enticing. As Spike got closer to the gem, he felt how it was calling him, ready to bring him something that he has never tasted before.

As he ate the gem, Spike very soon realized that it even wasn't an actual gem, but something far more insidious.

Deciding to check up on his defeated foes, Discord is hit by the memory spell meant for Rainbow Dash. As a result, Twilight now knows Discord better than he knows himself- including the man he use to be. The memories of a hero, buried under the mind of a confused and lonely immortal.

His past is bleeding into his present and Twilight refuses to let him be turned to stone. Thus, in one form or another, the world will once more know its greatest savior: Naruto Uzumaki.

But Twilight is not the only one aware of the ancient past......
