Upon returning to Ponyville, the Doctor learns that there's a new mare in town by the name of Colgate and that she desperately needs his help. When a chance encounter leads to Twilight and Pinkie Pie getting trapped in the past, the Doctor will have to solve the mystery behind Colgate's curse as well as learn her connection to an ancient and lonely creature.

Twilight is invited to Canterlot to compete with some of the greatest magicians in the world for the Moonstone Cup, a prestigious award for the most powerful and skillful magicians, unicorn and otherwise. Can she win? What sort of competition will she face?

This story is a sequel to Doctor Whooves Episode 3: Aliens Among Us

After leaving Eugora, the TARDIS takes a giant leap through time and sends the Doctor and Twilight to Canterlot in the year 987. With no opportunities in Ponyville, the schoolmare takes a job offer in the inner city area of Canterlot's old mining town. Can even she overcome the insanities of her colleagues and apathy of her students in time to pass her next annual review? And who is the mysterious backwards-talking filly following Cheerilee around? Luna's School for Disadvantaged Youngsters will never be the same!
