A short story I wrote for an /mlp/ thread waaay back about "doing loving things to your waifu/horsebando". Unfortunately, since my particular art-skill-level makes stick figures look like Da Vinci masterpieces, I decided to try writing out a few stories instead. Now that I've actually got some real fictions going, I'm gonna throw this up here too, just in case anybody wants to read it. If you like it, let me know!

Taking a short cut across the beach was a bad idea during hurricane season. One arrived without warning, and Gray spotted a sturdy looking shed, he sprinted towards it for cover. But then a powerful wind swept him up...

....Princess Celestia looked out the window from her throne at the heavy storm. She went back to her paperwork, which was blown from the table by an unseen wind. There was a flash and a silhouette flew through the air, rolling to a stop at the bottom of her dais...

Okay, so this one isn't my idea. I am being give them, and am fleshing them out. This one, for once, will be proof read/edited by KnightFlower. The tale of a long forgotten being who returns to an ancient, familiar world in the form of a young man. As his journey takes him across vast landscapes, he discovers more about the nature of his new reality; more than any thinking creature could hope to know.

Note: This story is currently in hiatus and undergoing some serious revisions.

When you wake up naked in a strange bed you can feel uncertain. When the person asking how you feel is a ‘talking horsie’ you can find it hard to focus on anything else. When they seem so unimpressed when they already have talking Cows, Sheep, Diamond Dogs, Zebras, Dragons, River Serpents, Buffalo, and Minotaurs then you might as well just keep your head down and do farm chores and try to gradually get used to this all.

But when three infamous fillies ask you to do something then perhaps would have been better to say ‘no’ and leave your life quiet and uneventful.

Set from sometime not very long after Discord’s puppy-eyes and reform to where I gamble and have the season 4 opening threat dealt with on the day of the coronation and Equestria Girls start only two days later.
(EDIT: Though from the spoilers/teasers it seems the vague references to the threat missed by so far as to obviously be referring to something else...)

Ryan was a guy who, while not having a great life, had one that was passable and wasn't anything to gripe about; however he felt lost in what it had all become...but that changes soon enough when he finds himself in a place that's like his world but not, and comes to find friendship with those residing there; in particular one southern gal starts to catch his eye and so a tale of silliness, laughs, love, and even action begins as he adjusts and finds a way to make a new start in Equestria...and on Sweet Apple Acres.

(My first ever MLP:FiM fanfic since this series is just so awesome and AppleJack is also mah fave pony. I go a little crazy with how I set stuff up but I hope ya find it an entertaining read.)

Dreams can take strange turns, but lucid dreams are not supposed to. That’s the whole point, to change the dreamworld through lucidity. However, when he tried messing around with his own subconscious, William signed up for far more than he ever thought he was going to.

Now, Reality seems to be following arbitrary rules, cartoon logic and the fact that he cannot change back from his ridiculous alicorn form is just vanilla icing on the bizarre cake.

And unbeknownst to him, a certain Princess is infuriated by the intrusion in her domain.

The rules?

Oh, from now on, every time I fall asleep in the human world, I get transported to Equestria, into a new body. I can stay as long as I don't give up, even until I die apparently! If I do, I get sent back to our world. Discord, being so bored in his statue, will influence my fate while I'm in Equestria. The game will only last ten rounds, at most.

...I'm doomed.

Have you ever imagined that one day you would wake up in a strange new world in an even stranger new body? Well I never have but it still happened and now I am running around in my OC’s body in a land I thought was nothing more than a silly children’s cartoon.

Well here I am…in the land where friendship is supposedly magic as an alicorn no less, staying with the two pegasi sisters while trying to make sense of my situation and keeping my whole alicorn appearance a secret…especially from the OTHER two alicorn’s. God knows what happens when these ponies find out what I really am...Both now and what i used to be.

Hopefully, one day…all of this will make sense and let’s just hope I don’t cause too much chaos while trying to find answers and trying to find a way back home.

As a brony who prides himself on always knowing where the fine line between fantasy and reality lies, Joseph Ryan Ang was more than skeptical about where exactly he thinks he has landed himself up in when he stumbles and falls through a large hole in the forest while out on a solo hiking trip in the forests of Tennessee. But when he begins to encounter, and subsequently escape from several familiar creatures, each one harassing him and then moving on to nearly killing him on his harrowing journey back to civilisation, the realization that he just might have stumbled into another world altogether begins to take hold.

The realization then batters relentlessly against walls of skepticism, but even as the evidence begins to mount before his eyes, he continues to hold on to the incontrovertible facts that there are no such things as portals, and manticores and wolves made out of wood and bark do not exist.

At least, that's what he thinks until he bursts out of the Everfree, and discovers that he's landed up in Equestria.

All in all, it's just the kind of day that would have had him swearing loudly and at length.

But Joseph's arrival in Equestria isn't just due to fickle chance, or to the myriad ways of destiny. Dark forces of the world stir, their eyes intent upon him. Sinister motives plot and scheme, and upon his arrival in Canterlot he soon finds himself embroiled in a shadowy plot more dire than anything he could possibly imagine, with far-reaching portents beyond his wildest dreams. As he races against time to unravel a conspiracy against the crown despite being surrounded by mistrust and prejudice, Joseph will discover what it means to be a protector and a guardian of what he loves... and more importantly, what it means to be human in a world of ponies.

This isn't just about the machinations of fate, the paths of destiny, or the fickle whimsies of chance. It is about the way a man is capable of forging his own paths by the choices he makes, despite the circumstances foisted upon him. It is about the power of the freedom of choice, to defy what destiny had planned for you and to create your own fate. It is about how even the unlikeliest of individuals can turn out to become even the most unexpected of heroes, and how one man's desire to make a difference can change an entire world.

He came to their world as a man who barely even knew his purpose in life, much less how or why he had arrived there.

He is about to become a man who will forge his own path to the very heights of their nation.
