Name Rater has always had a very unique skill: the ability to gauge the talents of others at a glance. And once this became known, everypony began to depend on his guidance, much to his chagrin. This is his story, a tale of great self-sacrifice and even greater grumpiness.

And no, this has nothing to do with Pokémon, the name is just fitting.

Dr. Albert Wily...mad genius, evil scientist, brilliant roboticist, wanted criminal, would be world conqueror, loving father... Wait, what was that last part?

When Dr. Wily wakes up one morning with a tiny unicorn inexplicably clinging to his bald head, he is more than a little flummoxed. Unknown to him, this tiny creature is about to turn his entire life upside down, worm her way into his heart...and make his dreams a reality.

Now I’m stuck somewhere far away from home, with nothing but the fancy clothing on my back and an amulet I really wished I didn’t have. I only wanted for the convention to be less boring, but getting sucked to another dimension is a little too exciting. Oh, and did I mention the talking, multicolored ponies? (Was rewritten under orders from a moderator due to the infamous Dropbear incident, said it was a carbon-copy of his work but honestly how many times can you describe something and not have people say you copied them?)

Greetings...outsiders...my name is Skolas, Kell of Kells, the Rabid, the Wolf Kell. But to those that actually know who I am then my name is Ian, scrub lord in the department of game creation and sadly the newest resident to this new land called Equestria...sounds like a strange European band.

And so there I was with my friends from college, we decided after much debating, coin flipping and two rounds of roshambo to go dress up as the characters of the game Destiny. I decided to go as Skolas because one I like the color blue, two cause I like the way he looks and three because I think he is a total badass as my friends either dressed up as their guardians, Omnigul and for some reason that creepy guy that only appears on Fridays that takes your crappy strange coins.

It was during this convention that all five of us went to that something strange happened, with my wallet full of cash from my job I went out to look for a souvenir to bring home, what I was not expecting to see was a small booth with a strange looking merchant. Of course I just had to buy something and seeing how my large cape had a clasp I might as well take the one that looks just like it, strange thing about my new clasp is that it looks like a unicorn's head with wings coming out of it...must be a strange sigil of some kind, eh at least it matches the colors.

Now this would have made my day a whole lot better if it wasn't for the fact that once I put on my new cape clasp and pocketed my wallet did my head started to feel light and everything began to turn blurry before everything went bright and then black. I wake up to find myself in the middle of nowhere with snow going for miles in every single direction.

I hate my life so much sometimes...

They say that if you remember the Eighties, you weren't there. It certainly would prove difficult to remember much if you spent most of your time with a whacky little pill stuck to your tongue. Welcome to 1987 Equestria! A place and time where cell phones doubled as bricks and the motor carriages were big enough to haul landfills around in the Manehatten River.

The mayor of Ponyville has found love and decides to settle down with her mate upon the end of her fourth term. This of which, corrupt business pony, Filthy Rich tries to capitalize on. With some encouragement from her best friend, Vinyl Scratch and some help from Twilight and the gang, Octavia stands up for what is right and runs for mayor to save the town. She and Vinyl moved to Ponyville a few years ago for the peace and quiet and she'll be damned if the sleepy, yet vibrant little town of less than six thousand ponies falls victim to the greed of corporate Equestria.

Filthy Rich of course doesn't play fair when it comes to the election and with the good of Ponyville in mind, Octavia finds that two can play at that game! All the while, Filthy's daughter is at her wits end as she gets caught right in the crossfire and desperately seeks a solution to this madness. It's late in the decade but the party is far from over! Who said politics was a boring, "behind the desk" job? For mild mannered Octavia, Things are about to get very real and her reserve tested to the limit!

Rated Teen for language, drug and alcohol references and other such suggestive dialog. Sex tag is for innuendos and vague references to sexual activities but nothing goes into graphic detail thus maintaining the Teen rating. Despite the different time period, the characters are all the same age as they are on the show and the "alternate universe" tag should cover that. Set it in 1987 because reasons.
