Now, in order to save their families and their homeland, The Guardians of Harmony will do what no one has ever done before: Venture beyond the borders of Equestria into parts unknown!

Their skills and friendship will be put to the test as they face off against con artists, sky pirates and the villainous Tempest Shadow, who is determined to capture the princesses in order to regain her broken unicorn horn.

This story is both a sequel and a prequel to Leap of Faith

In the aftermath of Leap of Faith, Twilight Sparkle visits the human world to close the book on several things, one of them being her study on this world. What she learns from Morning Blade will reveal not only information of the final years of the Assassins, but insight into the life of the acting Mentor, Frigid Night.

When Twilight Sparkle was just a kid, her best friend was a girl named Sunset Shimmer. Though their friendship had a bit of a rocky start, they quickly became inseparable, no matter how much everyone thought of them as ‘weird’. They were there for each other.

Years after the tragic accident that tore them apart, Twilight is determined to move on from her loss, and she sets off on an independent research project to investigate the strange happenings at Canterlot High. Sunset Shimmer has just recently earned her redemption, AND been crowned a princess along with it after her role in saving the Crystal Empire from a the combined forces of King Sombra and an Alicorn Amulet wielding Chrysalis along with her army of changelings.

Not only that, she has even found a special somepony to call her own: Princess Celestia's adopted son, Prince Lockon Astros, whom Sunset had helped overcome his desires for revenge before her ascension.

Together, their love for each other will take down an unfamiliar path, but it will be one they are both willing to take as long as they have each other.

They will also have many surprises in store for them along the way, some of which will involve their friends as well. Including the appearance of an ancient enemy.

(Quick Author's note: This story is predominantly in the Romance and Slice of Life categories. But there will be a point in the plot that will push this story towards the boundary separating the Adventure category from Slice of Life. I am saying this because there can't be a story that is both Adventure AND Slice of Life. But I will not say anything more than that, since I don't want to spoil anything for you guys.)

Night Chase is an ordinary student at Canterlot High School. He has some good friends, does well in his classes, and even plays a sport. Yet something seems to be missing from his life. When a bit of an accident causes him to befriend the kindest person he's ever met, Night begins to feel something new within himself.

Set in the Equestria Girls universe shortly after the first movie.
