Three villains are hanging out. They argue with each other, they mock each other's defeats, and they talk badly about their nemesis. Then Discord appears in the scene and blows away the villains' peace.

While Celestia and Luna were the rulers of ponykind of many centuries, they were not the only alicorn leaders of their people's ancient past. Through the power of modern technology, they find a way to restore their father, Solaris, to be able to speak to them once more. As it turns out, this might not have been the best idea.

Three days into her latest stay on Earth, Twilight Sparkle is enjoying learning about Europe in the company of her mentor while staying in the nation of Equios, a European microstate bordering Switzerland that functions as Equestria's outpost on Earth.

But when a solemn Celestia wakes her early one morning and asks Twilight to accompany her to a new place a thousand miles away, she will learn that not all is Friendship and Harmony when it comes to humans. That there are some very dark and dangerous events in humanity's past whose nature may rock her to her core. Can Twilight solve the mystery her mentor presents of what happened decades earlier near a town named Pripyat? And can anything be the same afterwards if she does...?

Set during FiM season 2, the story takes place in the Phoenixverse of Turnabout Storm and The Lawyer and The Unicorn, but familiarity with those two stories is not required to read this one.

Equestria is under siege. From the skies burst forth hundreds upon hundreds of skeletal beings. Their weapons burst forth a sickly green burst of energy, liquefying any and all that dared to stand against them. In their darkest hour, the Princesses call upon the Multiverse to grant them a champion....

....Unfortunately, they got Kaldor Draigo, and his BEARD OF TINY MEN, who he must KILL, alongside the Ordo Draigo, and their mighty hams!

Shortly before Nightmare Moon's return, a human arrives and sets up in the Minotaur territories. She wears the Ruling Ring she forged and a collection of the other Rings of Power. She is intent on wielding her power for her own goals.

A Dark Lord of the Sith arrives soon after and sets up in the castle of the Pony Sisters. Intent on finding a suitable apprentice. Will they ally themselves with Nightmare Moon and the other enemies of Equestria, or will they seek to clear the board of all opposition and claim the world for themselves?

What will the Elements of Harmony do? What will Celestia do? What will the other nations do? Why is Spike making wagon loads of popcorn?

When Twilight first began her experiments in trying to figure out better ways to access the Aether, the realm of magic and souls just outside their physical realm, she did not expect to make significant progress. After all, pony kind has been trying to find out the answer to that line of thinking for centuries.

When she felt herself connect to the other realm Twilight accidentally manipulated its energies in a different sort of way. The Aether bent to her will much easier than before. Getting just a bit too excited, Twilight played with the Aether a tad too freely and the reality-bending powers of the outer realm sucked her into its bottomless depths.

Fortunately Twilight was able to direct herself back to the material realm using the closest, and brightest, soul she could find as an anchor. And the second she looked up at the skull of the skeleton sitting on top of a golden throne, she knew life was about to get more... interesting.

Omen had been living in Ponyville for a while, living off of the research grants from a few of the miscellanea that he had brought with him from his own home when he had been suddenly transported. At least until a petition began circulating the top of Canterlot that he was a dangerous madman. Until it gained traction he really didn't mind. He kept to himself, only bothering to descend from his rented room in the castle of friendship to do the weekly tests Twilight asked before returning to his own private reading and experiments.

At least, until it finally reached the courts with enough backing to at least get him evicted. With that going on he could hardly afford to ignore it anymore and donned his best suit. After all, if he wasn't wanted, why bother staying. He just had one little thing to do before he left, one last goodbye before he went to talk to the darlings at the Griffon Empire.
