In an attempt to save his now dead wife, Victor Fries; aka Mr. Freeze lands in Equestria, and after saving the lives of its inhabitants he becomes a permanent resident, protecting his friends as the vigilantee The Frostbitten Colt. He seeks redemption, and he may find it from a certain animal loving Pegasus.

The captured Changeling sits despondent in the interrogation chair. Looking up, he sees what can only be his interrogator enter the room. A one way glass window holds Celestia and Luna, or at least, that is what the Changeling assumes. The interrogator sits down, rather uncomfortably. Apparently, he has not had much experience in dealing with Changelings; who had? The Changeling surveys his surroundings. Three white walls and one with the mirror and door. A table waits patiently in front of him while a light shines overhead. The Changeling is bound to the chair by his forelegs and wings. A faint humming sound suggests some kind of magic dampening field. The interrogator is an Earth pony, or as the Changeling designation system states, a norm. The interrogator opens his mouth to speak but two green eyes glare him into silence; he is clearly afraid of the Changeling. Overpowering his fear, the interrogator speaks.

Being brought out of prison is one thing. But to be brought out after 1000 years and to find your body has aged 10 years but your mind hasn't is a completely different thing.

Such a thing happened to a boy shrouded in a dark forgotten past who at just eight years old was trapped inside the Crystal Heart for a reason he doesn't remember.

Armed with a shard of the Crystal Heart in place of his own and an underaged mind will he be able to find out why he was brought back into reality, why he was trapped in the first place and what's changed about his body and the world around him.

There are some creatures that are forgotten or never known about, back when Equestria was just starting and the Princesses had just begun to rule there was another species unknown to them. The humans, they were an old race that had been around much longer than the ponies. However one day they were wiped out. Only one lives a young boy named Sean, the last human.

You know when I started to have an existential crisis with questions like 'Why am I still a baby dragon?' or 'Why am I the only 'nice' dragon?' or even better 'What is my destiny?' I was not excepting nor did I want the answers given to me ala discordian riddling nonsense...

But NOoooooo... I have to deal with a mysterious voice that keeps visiting in my dreams, mocking me with his cryptic non-answering answers and insistence on calling me brother.

And when he does finally decide to meet me in person a darkness falls over Equestria. Once that makes the typical 'It's Tuesday morning in Ponyville' in which an over the top villain with an over the top maniacal laughter invades deciding that now is the time that he/she should take over the world blah blah blah seem like nothing. Maybe I should have kept my big. fat. mouth shut...

So I was relaxing in my room, replaying my oldest, yet still loved trilogy adventure: Baldur's Gate.
I'd passed the first book and was working on the second, and had just changed my Thief main character into an Assassin and input all the changes on the character screen, when, well, it happened.
Nobody told me my laptop was an interdimensional portal, and I suspect that normally, it wasn't. I also suspect that normally, it would have no power to change me into my main character either.
Who I was before is unimportant now. Who I am now is Marketh Shadeblade.
And I will do what I have to in order to survive, or more importantly, carve out a little niche for myself here in pastel pony land.
There might be one or two small problems with that, but it's nothing I won't be able to handle. Right?

I was known as Frank DeFontaine. I was going to a Halloween party. I was a pretty intelligent kid, starting my first college term, and decided a little dress-up couldn't hurt.
My buddy Richard got involved, though. And like everything, he took it a bit too far. This time, I didn't say no, though. I really should have.
Next thing I know, we're going all-out on making my Dullahan costume. Because he's my favorite optional boss, and all.
Really shoulda known something was up when that guy behind the counter just so happened to have a sword that fit our specifications perfectly.
Next thing I know, I'm in Equestria. And I'm missing a head.
Sakes, I could use a drink. And a neck.

Okay, taking it from the top.
Hi, I'm Auric Fulcrum, also known as Frank DeFontaine. For about 1,500 years, I wasn't alive. I instead inhabited my Dullahan costume as a spirit because of my sword, which also brought me to Equestria. Once I got here, after a few years of back and forth, Sunbutt imprisoned me because of a minor misunderstanding.
I heard that!
You were meant to!
Anyways, once I got out, I learned that the Wise One was coming to this reality, so I did what came natural to me.
I sought out the power of the Golden Sun and used it to defeat him so utterly I would never have to worry about him again.
Problem was, the energies that bound me together and the power of the Sun conflicted, so my armor fell apart. And without the armor, I was unbound, unfocused.
I came to a week later in the same basement I had been imprisoned, in my old body, but with a few...upgrades. Like Alchemy being a Thing I can Do.
Now that I'm alive again, my to-do list is radically different, but no less daunting.
For starters, how am I supposed to stop a mountain from sinking into the earth?!

A freak lightning storm, strange lights, and an unassuming, yet mysterious stone obelisk. What do these things have to do with an average college student from North Tonawanda? At first, nothing. But when nineteen year-old Connor lets his curiosity get the better of him and lands in the center of a cosmic coincidence, he probably should have left well enough alone.

Now he finds himself stranded in an impossible world where magic is real, and "normal" takes on a whole new meaning. A world populated by sentient creatures calling themselves "ponies." A stranger in a strange land, Connor's yearning for answers and a way back to Earth will try both his patience and his sanity in the days following his arrival, even with the support of his new equine friends. Rated Teen just in case for occasional swearing. This story takes place shortly after the end of Season 2, and the main character is from an Earth where MLP never existed (in order to preserve proper characterization). Or just assume he's never heard of it, that works too.

The title is not an Evangelion reference, I was just inspired by the wording scheme.
