A foal appears on Twilight's doorstep one night in rain. Twilight takes her in for the night, but is unsure what to do with the baby unicorn filly.

Its been two years since Spell Nexus was defeated and his cult destroyed, Nyx and Twilight Sparkle have been preparing for another winter. One that is having an odd effect on Nyx.

As the winter draws even closer, Nyx begins to remember a filly, not from her past, but from Lunas. Filled with questions but nopony to answer them, Nyx investigates as to who this white filly of the snow is, and how she is tied to her past.

Can Nyx discover who this filly in her memory is? Or will the answers be buried beneath the snow.

This story is a sequel to Tears in the Snow

Four years since the long night, Nyx, now at the age of nine has been hearing voices calling her name at night, a looming shadow from her armor, a sense of dread hanging over her like a dark cloud. Nyx could feel the magic in her horn pulsating with a new aura, merging and fighting for control.

Suddenly afraid of darkness and of the presence that plagues her at night, the laughter of a specter that seemed to take pleasure in her torment, devours her dreams and fears. The mirrors themselves show a different face, and her friends have no way to help her.

Unwilling to bring this to Twilight, Nyx must battle with Equestria's darkest evil if she is to remain who she is, when two souls clash there can be only one to inherit the body, and Nyx is not ready to give herself up to Nightmare Moon.

Originally a midequal to Into the Beginning: The Life of Writing Glory with a different story completed before hand. This is the second version of this story, changed to fit the Tears in the Snow canon. This story was started on the 11th of October 2013.

This is a fic based on the Time Loop Files, the format of which was first codified by Innortal on fanfiction.net.
Here's a brief guide.
The basic idea is, one character (the Anchor, usually the main character of a fictional setting) is looping back to the very first moments of their parent series every time either they die or some kind of time limit expires. They of course end up monumentally stir crazy given enough time.
Eventually others start to loop as well.
The reset is not always perfect. Sometimes a loop's history will be different to the "prime" loop, or canonical plot.
"Crossover" or "Fusion" loops also occur, randomly. These can involve the home loopers having a guest, or the anchor for one universe spending time in another, or replacements of one character by another.
Vacation Loops are where the Anchor (or others) decide/s "buck it" and lets off steam by doing whatever comes to mind. There's little or no attempt to maintain the original timeline.

In addition, and particularly more recently, it should be known that this story has a collaborative element to it - people may submit loop ideas or loops, ideally at the Spacebattles thread (a link to the current version of which is on the Trope page), and they may become included.

She was alone in the world, nobody to care for her anymore, and just weeks after a tragedy that led her to this state. She was lost in the world, awaiting a fate she had no concept of.

She was wild when she found her, a little girl in rags, afraid of contact with strangers, with people who had showed her mistreatment since she had come to be homeless and in poverty. Still she took her in, and cared for her. They formed a bond that could be unbroken. A home provided, a person to count on, talk to, and care for her. Somebody to love her for who she is.

This is NOT supposed to be a rewrite or copy of Past Sins, some events in the first few chapters may be similar, or have some elements that mirror some of the events. Later chapters will be very different. Please be open minded.
