Discord has brought Tirek in as Celestia requested, and he takes a moment to explain why.

After deciding on taking up the role of a Substitute and finding out that the main Philosophy teacher is boring his students, Discord decides to step in to take up the responsibility of teaching. And he will do it by teaching it in plain Equestrian, in a way that these young students would understand. As well as in his own unique way.

Reincarnation doesn't always go forward in time. Sometimes it goes in a loop, as in the case of Twilight Sparkle. She lives, she fights, she gets allies. Than she dies, improves herself and friends, and occasionally buys something that makes the world a better place. Finally, she is reborn and lose her memory. Rinse and Repeat.

However, with her rising to Alicorn, she has unlocked a few new things that would make her lives easier. The down side? In order to afford these, the world needs a hard reset. The temptation? She could keep her memories.

Soon Twilight Sparkle will see just how much she has done for the land of Equestria over her many lives, and see first hand what it was to start with. Thankfully, with no sarcasm for once, Discord is here to help her build the world back up.

In this one-shot idea, Fluttershy asks her friend Discord if he would be interested in taking up the job as a teacher at the new School of Friendship. Discord agrees to teach them something if he were given a chance to test-drive it by having a few students to see if he would take up the job. What follows is a lesson on the meditations of Reniegh Haycartes.

Discord is a strange creature who takes strange decisions. His latest one involve going out with two mares at the same time. Something which bother Twilight to no end. But why?

Discord still has a lot to learn about friendship. Spending some one-on-one time with each of his new friends is helping. If only they wouldn’t get so upset about being turned into fruit or having their hair eaten.

What’s that? Make my life a living nightmare? Foolish pink pony! I’m Discord, the Lord of Chaos. What could a simple pony like you possibly do to me?

At her coronation after-party, Twilight gets a little freaked out at the prospect of growing into her new life, especially one specific aspect of it. She knows better than anyone that talking her problems over with a friend can help tremendously, but she doesn't have many friends with whom she'd be comfortable talking about this particular problem, let alone ones who would really understand what she's going through.

...unless she broadens her definition of "friend."
