Gamer-type fic, inspired by Clicker Heroes
Reincarnation doesn't always go forward in time. Sometimes it goes in a loop, as in the case of Twilight Sparkle. She lives, she fights, she gets allies. Than she dies, improves herself and friends, and occasionally buys something that makes the world a better place. Finally, she is reborn and lose her memory. Rinse and Repeat.
However, with her rising to Alicorn, she has unlocked a few new things that would make her lives easier. The down side? In order to afford these, the world needs a hard reset. The temptation? She could keep her memories.
Soon Twilight Sparkle will see just how much she has done for the land of Equestria over her many lives, and see first hand what it was to start with. Thankfully, with no sarcasm for once, Discord is here to help her build the world back up.

Holy crap! This is an awesome start for a story! I enjoy how in-depth this bit sets the stage for what's to come. It really is a very thorough 'prologue', if you will. We get to see what has happened and what the options are, but are left to guess as to what she'll do or how. Because you're using a concept, rather than characters and places, or transporting the characters to different worlds or anything along the regular crossover lines, it makes it a bit difficult to tell that it is a crossover, though that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I really like how this has started off. Onwards!

Huh, I don't think I've seen idle game Gamer yet. That's actually a pretty neat idea, and a nice setup for a timeloop action story.
Also, you did a good job of showing Twilight as a genuinely smart character. The Discord/Twilight friendship is also fairly well done so far. Probably would've watched it for those two points alone.
I do have one concern though: Are you actually going to update this? Because you do have a lot of one chapter stories.

Fics where the main character's life turns out to be something like a video game. To my understanding, it started with some form of manga,(I think the Chinese equivalent) of such a premise- the title translated to The Gamer, apparently.
Im always a sucker for these types of stories! And I think its a good start, really enjoy the banter between Twilight and Discord and that they are rather friendly with one another, as it should be! She already forgave him from Tirek, there relationship should be improved from there.
Anyway, keep up the good work, looking forward for more.

Wouldn't it be cool if in some lifetimes, discord would help out child twilight? And when she got old enough, he would vanish for a while and become in her memories an imaginary friend. And when she grew up and had to "fight" him, they would just run to each other and hug confusing everyone else.

Only 8% of her memories? I guess 8% of all of one's memories can be somewhat significant, assuming Twilight is around 20 years old that'd be at least 1.6 years of memories that she'll retain, it's good that it specifies that the important memories have priority too.
I'm wondering what would happen if Twilight chose the human option and had guaranteed alicorn transformation, can humans ascend in a different way? Or maybe it's just similar to EQG where she'd be able to temporarily "pony up"?
Also increasing the effects and powers of Discord before even meeting the old him just seems like bad news, I'd assume he'd be closer to the Warhammer40k chaos gods without Twilight making him nicer or something with regular souls.
However it goes Neo-Cycle #1 Twilight is probably not gonna enjoy herself in this cycle, and assuming what memories she keeps will probably be pretty angry with Alicorn Twilight #1.

This story has a hell load of promise
This was honetly really awesome and sad. Something that rarely happens to me. Is when a story makes me feel sad and slightly teary eye. That scene with Discord turns to her and smiles. Was one of the best sentences i have read.
Alough I should mention i think it would of been more compelling. If she went and visted her friends one at a time Then Shinning and LunaM For the last time. Then finally end it with Celestia. With Twilight vaguely telling her.

Dude this story is great, I love gamer fics, and I’m glad Twilight won’t have to worry too much about being bored because of knowing everything.
