"I've always wondered what happened to me and you in those worlds I accidentally created," Starlight said, turning her teaspoon in her chocolate mug.
"I'm not sure we were even there," Twilight replied. "I'm not sure they were full realities, not when I saw them at least. More like possibilities, not fully realised yet. Zecora said something about it when I met her in one of them."
"But they still ought to have had a Twilight and a Starlight," Starlight argued, taking a sip from her mug.
"Maybe us being the centre of the spell meant they didn't immediately. The map was always there, and I was there with it," Twilight replied. "So maybe I was the only Twilight there. Since neither of us was supposed to exist as we do in a different reality, maybe I would have been erased away in time."
"Hmm." Starlight pursed her lips. "Maybe I didn't create worlds. Maybe what you saw were reflections of other worlds that do exist, somewhere out there. Or that could exist. But you only walked through a reflection of them."
Twilight pursed her lips too, thinking for a bit. In the end she sighed. "This is why time travel spells are banned."
Starlight nodded, and sipped some more chocolate.

Finally caught up. Sorry, between the convention, readjusting from the convention, and picking up a new game on Steam, I've kind of been all over the place. Still, very interesting developments at all levels of reality.
For a second I thought this was a magic mug made of chocolate which could get warm and soft when hot drink is put in it without melting enough to make a mess everywhere which could be eaten once the drink was drunk (and also the chocolate magically wouldn't go into the drink so you could drink tea or whatever without spoiling the taste) and now I'm sad that it doesn't exist.
Can't imagine how hard it will be to keep track of what's going on when if we ever get a full time travel plot, although I think that the bug pony implies that some time travel is already involved.
