The Summer Sun Celebration was never typically associated with second chances, not until Twilight Sparkle and her friends discovered the Elements of Harmony and used them to cleanse the jealousy from the heart of Princess Luna, at least. On that fateful night, two seconds chances were granted:

One for Luna herself, that she might seek forgiveness from her sister and the citizens of Equestria for her actions.

The other was for Princess Celestia, that she might once again find some measure of happiness after a thousand years of loneliness.

Some years later, however, another mare hopes for a second chance of an entirely different nature. She knows she doesn’t deserve it. She knows it’s stupid to even ask.

So why the hell can’t she just let it lie?

Applejack realizes one morning that Rainbow Dash has apparently moved in with her. This discovery surprises Dash more than a little, too, and sets off a chain of events neither could have imagined.

The original minific version of this story came in fifth in the Dec. 2015 Writeoff Association contest, "Things Left Unsaid." And the full, three-chapter-and-an-epilogue version won 3rd place in The Fourth AppleDash Contest: A Little Twist of Lemon using the categories "A Life-Changing Event" and "An Important or Memorable Date."

Under unfortunate circumstances Applejack has been transferred to a high class High School only to meet Rainbow Dash, a student whom AJ slowly starts to have feelings over. The catch being she already has a girlfriend, hard family issues and a serious past with Gilda. Twists and turns of confessions and secrets filled with drinking games and injuries might convince this jock of who she truly loves. Will AJ have it in her to survive this twisted love triangle, this jock who has more to her then her cover shows, or the past relationship that threatens her very life? Applejack and Rainbow Dash have been together for more than a year now. Their relationship has blossomed through Discord, a changeling army, and a whole hoof full of crazy situations and dumb mistakes. They've managed to form a partnership and learned to work out their problems together, not an easy lesson for two tough, stubborn ponies.

But now Rainbow Dash is convinced that their lives are getting boring, and if there's one thing Dash doesn't like, it's boring. So Dash has set out to make her relationship with Applejack more interesting. . . and AJ's not so sure she likes that sound of that.
