When Sunset Shimmer was blasted by the elements of harmony, something went very wrong. Instead of sending her into a crater, she was lunged in the air. Sunset Shimmer crashed to the ground, an audible snap could be heard.

This is the first part of my Equestria Girls continuity.

After the betrayal of her friends over the new rumors of Anon - a -Miss, Sunset finds herself stranded in a school that now hates her. But as she continues to persevere through the harrowing school days, she starts to see that not everything is perhaps as dark as she once made it out to be. Even if her own friends don't believe her, that doesn't mean there aren't others that do.

Various short stories based on the Anon - a - Miss story line that I've been so enthralled with, but done in a far lighter tone than most of the stories I tend to come across on the topic. Events will be altered slightly, as well as an addition of a Suicide tag which is for a later chapter, which will be warned in advance.

I've been feeling empty lately. Not sad, not happy, just... empty. I fake a smile around the girls. I don't know if they notice.

There is something that ends the emptiness. I don't like it, but I'd rather feel pain than nothing. So long as the girls don't notice. I don't need that kind of attention, or worry.

After the events of Anon-A-Miss, Sunset is alone. Her friends don't trust her. Her own friends, who she thought loved her, so easily cut her off. She realizes the she is once again living her worst fear; being alone. With this comes feelings that Sunset had thought left her long, long ago.

For better and worse, Sunset explains exactly why she has cut herself off from the world. Rarity must decide how to handle an uncomfortable truth.

Rated "Teen" due to frank discussion of suicide, and mild cursing.

Losing her friends was the start of a self-destructive spiral for Sunset Shimmer. Convinced that she will never escape the echoes of her past, she tries to take her own life.

The attempt leaves her severely injured and she falls unconscious. In her dreams, she is visited by Princess Luna. They have much to discuss, whether Sunset likes it or not.
