Twilight Sparkle and Spike save a dragon girl from a savage attack, and the girl is grateful, but her gratitude turns to suspicion and bitterness when she gets a glimpse of how dragons are treated within Ponyville. This sets off a long journey of challenge and discovery for Spike, and all of his Ponyville friends, that could change the fate of two nations forever.

Spike is now the richest dragon in Equestria. You wonder how, you say? Well, here's a secret: Spike was an ordinary person, just like you. That is, until he was forced into becoming a Player. Now forced to buy and sell, his tower must increase to the max to reach the one called Monopoly Man.

Wearing his Golden Hat, having a female pony as a familiar, and a arch enemy, he is forced to reach the top without any pony knowing, not even Twilight and his friends. But will he be able to make it far without them knowing?

They took me from my family, and experimented on me like a lab rat. Now with the power of acceleration I escaped after three years of torture. But I ran too fast and broke through the barrier into a world of talking equines. With my old life gone, I seek to make a new life for myself, but those who used me will not let me go so easily. Am I destined for happiness, or doomed for pain and suffering?

Spike and Twilight return from the alternate world to only see that Spike has not changed back to a dragon. This Spike isn't a puppy though and must show the world that he isn't a pet but much more. Watch as Spike grows into his destiny as a protector of not just the wildlife of Equestria but the very balance of nature itself. Spike will have to battle against everything from, manticores, hydras, constellation beast, timberwolves, corrupt forest gods, and everything in between.

All his life, Spike has worked his scales off, sometimes literally. For the mane six, with no gratitude or thanks for what he does. One day, as Spike is about to go and participate in a talent show, all of the mane six dump work on him as they went off to a Wonderbolt show, and once Spike finishes the chores, also helping some of the citizens along the way. He then runs into the mane six who dump MORE work on him and run off to Sugarcube corner, Spike just falls to his knee's and cries.

The next day however, Big Mac calls a meeting with a few of the citizens and brings Spike with him, they all agree to hide Spike and cover him from the mane six, while he goes off to be what he should be doing. Be a kid.
