In a year marked by the greatest number of legal assaults on the rights of trans people to exist that has ever happened, this is my contribution to Pride Month for 2021 - my own, personal, real life transition story, ponified and coated in science fantasy. I took a metaphorical sword and sliced open my guts for you to see, raw and bleeding. This is my life, this is my story, painted in ponies. Petal Chatoyance says: Trans Rights!

Even the smallest magical accidents, as anyone in the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad can tell you, can have significant and far-reaching effects.

Especially if it wasn't Accidental Magic at all, but deliberate magic that was doing something that wasn't intended at all. Like, for example, the very trustworthy ancient magic of Hogwarts suddenly choosing to invite about fifty times as many students in one year as it usually does.

Naturally, when these small yet significant magical accidents happen, there is almost always someone that doesn't want it corrected for some reason or another. In this case, that someone is in a position of power, so it doesn't get corrected.

And over ten of thousand new students are officially admitted to Hogwarts in a single year. After all, these new students bring with them stories of things thought and even known to be completely impossible, in some cases, and the complete conviction that they are possible where they come from, wherever that is.

Naturally, Dumbledore expected that someone would make them possible. What he did not expect was the who and the how.

A rewrite and reimagining of the once-popular On the Implications of Parallel Worlds, which was itself a rewrite and reimagining of The Gate. This time around, it should be a little easier to avoid deadlocking the plot.

Sunset Shimmer was Celestia's top student until she betrayed her. Now she has escaped to the world through the mirror. However, instead of her becoming the tyrant queen of Canterlot High, an accident happens on the first day there, causing her to lose her memories. Now an amnesic Sunset Shimmer is alive in the human world, not knowing what her goal in life is or where's she from. The question is: Is this a good thing or will she still become a demon anyways?

Sunset Shimmer has been worrying her friends of late. It had started off as her talking around the subject of home. Then outright avoiding it.

It isn't that her friends want to have a sleepover at her place, or have her host a Pinkie Party. They're just worried. Sunset does have somewhere to call home right? A roof over her head and a warm place to sleep?

Jason's life has grown dull. While some may have thought that the weekly monster attacks might have kept him on his toes, he had grown to learn that as the norm around town. Now, after months of living in Ponyville, he can't shake the feeling that there is a void in his life. One night I fell asleep in my bed, had another pony-based dream session, and got up ready to begin my day. Imagine my surprise when I exited my room and instead of finding the rest of my small apartment, I found the vast expanse of Ponyville. Lucky me, right? Not really when you're addicted to things that don't exist in this world and you have enough issues to make Twilight's little friendship problem look like a day at the fair.

Yes, I'm doing a HiE story. Yes I am shipping myself with a pony eventually. I felt like it. I'm going to try not to make myself a central aspect of their lives but if I don't do occasional cool things, the story will be too boring. Just keep on reading. No I'm not going to write any clop.

A day after the events of "Hearth's Warming Club," Sandbar finds out another reason why his griffon friend does not want to return to Griffonstone. In the eyes of the griffons, Gallus isn't considered a legal adult as he has no one to perform a coming of age ceremony. One that would give the young griffon self-guardianship and freedom of choice to leave the country to move to Equestria. However, since he could not be adopted without the consent of a living relative, Gallus is stuck in a perpetual legal and cultural limbo.

That was until Sandbar thought up of a loophole. If his friend is unable to be free by adoption, then perhaps the only way to do so, is to marry him. At least, temporarily.

Applejack reckons they've got as much chance as a seed in a storm, but an Apple always honors her friends. It's a race to finish the harvest and save Cherry Hill Ranch while making it out alive back to Ponyville.
