Canterlot was not the first place Chrysalis attacked, before she moved to Equestria, she picked up a certain creature, a Dragon. His name is Shade, and he suddenly wakes up as a Changeling with only the smallest hints of his past life remaining.
Now thrust into an Invasion, he disregards the orders of his new Queen to save a single filly who he vows to protect. After being launched from the city, Shade must find a way to bring her back, but just how far is he willing to go?
With the secret of Changelings revealed, and Shade’s inexperience, he knows it is only a matter of time, just how long until he is convicted.

This story is a sequel to For the Hive

A few months after the events of Queen Twilight Sparkle's reveal that she and her hive can produce love, the changeling hives find themselves in an arms race. As Aegis Altair watches over her queens haggling with the minotaur emperor, she finds something that just might give Phoenix's Roost the edge it needs to come out on top.

This is a short interlude before hive book 3.

There is only one real rule regarding changeling royalty: there must always be a queen. Twilight Sparkle is about to learn this through personal experience.

After enduring the task of adapting to being a filly and helping to stop a potential disaster from occurring, one would think that things are finally turning around for me. Now I have deal with ponies knowing that I was originally an alien, Twilight's desire to learn everything I know, as well as training a team of ponies to handle any interdimensional issues that could come to Equus thanks to Celestia's recklessness. My life just keeps getting worse.
