The CMCs, however, haven't had that particular Social Studies class, and now they have started to realize what they have unleashed.

Death. For some, it is a blessing after ravaging disease or a life well lived. For others, it is an inevitability to be feared above anything else. Everyone wonders what happens after you meet the Reaper, but no one knows for sure.

Death. It comes just as surely to ponies as it does to any other creature. A part of life as natural as birth.

However, the Death that comes to ponies is more like a pony than you would expect.

In Equestria, Death has a Cutie Mark.

And with Cutie Marks come Cutie Mark Problems.

So what happens when the Reaper of Souls, the Pale Horse himself, loses touch with his purpose in life---er, death?

He seeks out the three fillies most suited for the job in all of Equestria.

Surely, if the Cutie Mark Crusaders can help so many other ponies with their problems, then they can help Death in Pony Form?

Alternatively titled The Grim Adventures of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

Some say that death is a peace most mortals have at the end of their life. For the Knight, preventing the Shade Lord was a sacrifice worth achieving for Hallownest. The Absolute Radiance was destroyed thanks to the aid of the Godseeker's power to summon the Shade Lord. Now the Knight finds itself, with Grimmchild, in Equestria, going through journeys with six of Equestria's best hopes to stop all evil.

However, will they be able to help the Knight go back home? What about its siblings? Did the Pale King also end up here?

All questions the Knight must find answers for while aiding its new home.

Somewhere in the multiverse, there is a bar. It's small—the kind-of a hole-in-the wall place which you might find open late at night while walking down the streets of Canterlot City in the 1920's.

But unlike most bars, this one is not actually there… or rather, not where you think it is.

The entrance to Sunset's Isekai will be found in passing; an archway made of stone, emerging from a wall that you could have sworn had nothing there before, and in fact seems impossible to actually lead anywhere.

There, a door of solid oak—lovingly worked and stained to look almost golden-red—with a thick, crystal version of Sunset's cutie mark at eye level awaits visitors under the soft light of a gas lamp.

This door opens to all worlds, and can only be found by those that need that drink to be just the right type of different.

Note: This fic is best read like nursing your drink - Don't rush it. Enjoy each flavor for what it is. Don't mix it all up by reading it one chapter after the other in one sitting. It's intended to (mostly) work in a way that each chapter can be read without having to tackle through the rest of the story. Thanks to the events of Anon-A-Miss, Sunset is no longer a Canterlot High School Wondercolt. She still desires to finish her studies, and accepts the assistance of the Sirens in getting enrolled at the other school in Canterlot, Crystal Preparatory Academy. There, she has to deal with all sorts of new drama, from faces both new and familiar, as she struggles to not get wrapped up in the status quo of the Academy.

Several months have passed since the Dazzlings' defeat at the hands of Sunset Shimmer and her friends, and Sonata Dusk finds herself living on her own in a very strange place. Rude statues, unconventional forms of rent, and otherworldly beings as other tenants are the least she has to come to terms with.

Especially when she finds out that her new place is only a few blocks down the road from her biggest cause of worry.

She could leave, but she'd have to live on the streets, and the autumn wind is only getting colder. Can she survive in an apartment where the closets come pre-stocked with skeletons of their own and the water only works if you ask nicely?

Probably not, but what does she have to lose?
