Eric Lancer has been stranded in Equestria for a few months now. After mysteriously appearing in the Everfree Forest, the human was forced to live with the fact that there was no way home. Taken in by Twilight Sparkle, all is well for the human as he tries to make friends with the local populace.
As it turns out, the locals of Ponyville aren't very friendly to an omnivore they know nothing about. Even the ponies he once called friends turn out to be manipulative xenophobes who are under strict orders from Princess Celestia to keep an eye on the untrustworthy human.
After learning of their true intentions, Eric leaves the town of Ponyville in the middle of the night. As it turns out, the human has a fate encounter that might just make his life worth living. And a certain mare might be along for the ride of her life.

Story is rated T for the following reasons: Flirting, mild/harsh language, mild violence, implied sexual situations, and pony x human relationship.
The story takes place after Season 3 of the show.

It has been thirty-three years since Lauren Faust had that dream of going into a world filled with ponies. Since then, she has become an animator, a director, a writer, and producer for many shows and a few movies; one of which is creating "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." Now being in the final season, she wishes that she could have done more to contribute and wonders if the show would be remembered after it's closing episode airs. Then, one night during the season nine hiatus, after putting her three-year-old daughter to bed, something crawled out. But after it left, her daughter followed him through a tunnel that wasn't there before. Lauren would have to once again go down the rabbit hole in order to find her child.

Once a year, the Townsend occurs. It is a weeklong tradition held by all of Equestria where, for a full week, everypony falls into a very deep -- almost comatose -- state. Nopony knows why or how it happens. It just does. So far, nopony has found any consequences to this strange occurence.

Then, one year, ponies start to go missing.

Then, the next year, more ponies start to go missing. Every year after, some ponies just seem to poof, and are never seen again. Nopony knows what happens to them, and those who try to learn, disappear.

Jazz is a very regular pony. In fact, there's nothing special about her at all. She has many good friends, a crush, even a well-respected family. She lives an average life in the little town of Stableside. That is, until she is unable to fall asleep the night of the Townsend.

This starts a series of events that will shatter Equestria forever.
