After the attempted invasion of Canterlot failed, the Changelings were ejected out of the city and flung out in all directions. Scattered and isolated, a new feeling came over them, freedom. They were free, for the first time in their lives they were not bound by the control of their Queen. With this revelation, the Changelings seek their bretherin out, and head toward civilization.
Their one goal now, simply to live. The one thing they have been denied all their lives, and their first chance to ever experience it, and it is nothing like what they dreamed of. For ponies are reluctant to accept them at first, and angered when they find out about the invasion. Though it was not their fault, what can they do to break this stigma and live their own lives?

Damn. Good piece of work.

NO YOU KILLED THE CHANGELING :flutterrage:

2977085 Yes, I did. I fully admit I didn't want him to die either, but felt it was necessary for him to martyr himself for the cause. :fluttercry:

2977211 okay I understand, sorry, but still i think you should make a sequal to it,yeah I also feel he did bad things, but we both didnt exactly celebrate his death, heck,I could even help you with it,I've written many stories outside of FIMfiction, like 15 in the past few months all containing a few thousand words with a nice storyline,it would be a great deal of respect to work with you to make a sequal to this or even a completely different story even! Either way i respect any decision you make at all and keep the idea's flowing! :raritywink:

2978042 Thank you for the offer, and i don't mean to offend you, but I absolutely NEED to work on my own ideas alone. If anyone else is even helping, to me, the idea ends up very far from what I wanted, and not true at all to my vision.
So again, thank you for the offer, but no thank you.

I will definitely continue writing though.

2978214 ah smart,i get the same feeling really, partners end up getting strange idea's together and don't worry im not in a single way offended, your stories are awsome, cant wait to read the next!

Reminds me of a monk.
:fluttercry::fluttercry:
Good Story.

3000419 Thank you. And him being a "religious martyr" was what I was trying to go for.

As soon as I read the part about meeting in town square I thought "please don't let this lead to self immolation. Please don't go burning monk on me."

1 minute later

"DAMNIT!"

Platinum Forge- No, no longer will she bear her pony name. Dash. Dash the changeling.

Dash had tears sliding down her face as her brother burned behind her. Her heart twisted in every direction as the full extent of his agony reached her. A purple pony tried to save him, to desperately do so, but Dash pushed her back, going against every fibre of her being to let her in and save her brother, her flesh and blood.

And as he breathed his last, Dash's heart broke.

:raritycry: THE FEELS!!! :raritycry:

sips coffee

I've read too many emotional scenes. This fic does nothing for me.

That self-sacrifice, willing to let his own kind to live in harmony but at the same time sacrifing himself for it.

Regardless, amazing job at this one!
