Applejack gets hypothermia from staying outside in record cold temperatures, and while Rainbow Dash is visiting her in the hospital, Dash decides to tell AJ something that she should have done long ago.

[A/N: decided to write this for the upcoming holiday season. It's nothing special, just a cute little AppleDash fic that I think you will enjoy. Also, if you downvote, please leave a comment stating why you did so. Just so I don't feel too bad.]

Set a couple decades in the future, Applejack is on death's doorstep. Having been confined to the hospital, she wants to spend her last night with her wife, Rainbow Dash, outside of the walls of the hospital—as a free pony.

This story could use a re-write. That probably won't ever happen, but on the off chance that it does, I'll let people know.

Rainbow Dash doesn't have anypony to spend her Hearth's Warming with—she hasn't for many years. All of her friends are enjoying it and she's had enough. She finds her way to Sweet Apple Acres and asks Applejack if she can spend the evening with her family.

AppleDash shipping. Again.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack have been together for over a year now, so when Rainbow Dash is invited to a dinner with the rest of her friends and the Cutie Mark Crusaders for Thanksgiving at the Apple Family house, what will happen, who will be the one getting surprised?

A short story about our favorite ponies on the night of Hearth's Warming Eve.
This story is set in the same universe and several months after the events of LotusVerse Book 2, "Saddlebags, Sun and on the Run".

This is an attempt to make a single moment into a story.

Event: Rainbow Dash has been with Applejack for a while now. They've been together for a while now, but none of them made a move yet. Rainbow Dash and Applejack are in Applejack's room after her work is finished. They've been sitting on Applejack's bed for quite some time. Rainbow Dash wanted to ask her something and the moment starts there.

While coming home from the Canterlot rodeo with Applejack, Rainbow Dash spots a strangely familiar pony. The weird coincidence seems to mean something more to Applejack, leading to a conversation about family that may bring two friends even closer.

Rainbow Dash has always had her head in the clouds, physically, but is always brought back to Equestria by the no nonsense common sense attitude of her best friend, Applejack. This story is an AppleDash fic, and takes place after the Season 2 finale of MLP:FiM.
