With every passing year, the students of the School of Friendship add more and more traditions to celebrate together on Hearth's Warming Eve. This story chronicles but one occurrence of one of their favorite traditions, the Annual Hearth's Warming Hunt.

Well... their favorite tradition save for Gallus. After all, he's the one being hunted.

It's been over one and a half years ago since the last activation of the device, though the magical signature hasn't changed it seems... weakened, to such a degree that the re-activation is impossible.

As described in the notes of research log #249 any attempt at providing the device an artificial source of magic to power failed, the device simply needed more energy than even the combined magical power of both Princess Luna and Celestia were capable of providing. You must be wondering now, I've already described these circumstances in previous logs so why bring it up now?

Simply said I'm out of options, every attempt of reactivating the device have failed and I'm only left with a single choice. I'm going to have to reverse engineer the device in an attempt to understand the mechanics with which it operates...

...At the risk of maybe never being unable to reconstruct it later.

I'm so sorry Fluttershy, I never should have involved you or any of the girls in the exploration of this structure. I hope that if we ever see you again you can find it in yourself to forgive me.

After all the fuss has died down, Twilight and Rainbow tell their friends everything that went down while they were out.

The First Contact War. It was a war that would change the fate of Equestria.

Equestria and the Gryphon Empire have fought for many decades, both sides suffering heavy losses. But the tide has turned in favor for Celestia and her allies and seek as end to this war. After pushing back against the Gryphons they fall upon the last bastion of the Gryphons, the capital Prance, where much death has gripped this once beautiful city. As the Equestrian Army and its allies recovered what was left from the city, they now looked to finish claiming the rest of the land, and find those responsible for such slaughter.

For one Equestrian royal guard, by the name of Quicksilver, he sees the truth behind the massacre oF Prancy. For he lies as their captive and sees the real evil among the ranks of the griffons.

Though Queen Haven wishes for a tighter link between the royal family and such an important mare.

A solar storm is raging across Equestria, the weather is going wild and magic is going haywire everywhere...

Unluckily for them, they find what they're looking for.

This is my third story, and second halo crossover, on here and I'm going to attempt writing it in first person, criticism is appreciated since first person is hard.

Spartan-127, whose real name is Parth is a renowned, lethal and powerful spartan III of UNSC ranking next to legendary spartan “spartan-117”. As a lone wolf, He never joined any spartan team and always worked on his own. Because of his actions during human- covenant war like destroying 13 covenant planets, taking out battalions of covenant forces on his own and discovering a forerunner ship on an unknown planet on his own without any help, he was promoted to such a high rank where he could do anything he wanted and no one could question him, not even the ONI. For his further rewards, he was given the forerunner ship that he discovered and so he was given permission to go anywhere in space, do slip space jump to any location he wished and no one could question him. He is considered as a hero in front of civilians.

But instead of taking advantage of such post, he used it for better for mankind, he set on a journey into outer space with a powerful Forerunner ship capable of destroying a planet with minimal weapon usage, to discover new habitable planets and possibly, another alien life which would be friendly as compared to that of covenant. Little did he know that he would discover aliens who also proved to be humans, about whom UNSC no nothing about within one year of travelling. Join him on his journey, as these humans help the spartan to understand what it means to be human and help him find love and peace in life.
