212 years after the bombs fell and the world of Equestria was plunged into in darkness, A synthetic replica of a pre-war pony leaves her home bunker and loving father and robotic mother behind in search of the fate of her namesake and all that remains of her lineage.

However, she soon discovers that her journey may not be as simple as perceived, and she must rely on her new found friends, for both survival and to ensure her mission is a success. What mysteries will she uncover? What stories will she piece together? Only time will tell what the future holds for her in this strange world.

The aftermath of the phoenix Philomena's rebirth, supposedly a celebratory time, is unexpectedly marred by the apparent suicide of the pair of pegasi Royal Guards that failed in properly watching Philomena just before her rebirth. Quickly, it is discovered that Lieutenant Troilus' anti-pegasus campaign is far from defeated, and the next target is the Wonderbolts attempting to get back on their hooves after the devastation caused by Operation Whirlwind. Troilus enlists the help of an ambitious and highly prejudiced member of the Equestria Education Association for his next attack, and in the subsequent power plays Lieutenant Captain Shining Armor's career is once again placed in serious jeopardy! How will it all play out? You'll have to read and see!

What if Rainbow Dash didn't become an Element of Harmony? What if someone took her place? What if her destiny changed the day she was born, and somepony else became an Equestrian hero? What if Rainbow Dash was just your average small town Pegasus trying to live her life and enjoy the little things?

This is the story of the person who took the place of one of Equestria's greatest heroes, who tried to convince everypony that she wasn't who she said she was, but no one believed her. And when she tried to make things right, someone else took the destiny as the Element of Loyalty. Now, stuck in the body of Rainbow Dash, Zephyr must figure out how to return the real Rainbow Dash to Equestria. All the while dealing with the everyday life of a common pony.

Octavia's lived the high life for years. Practice after practice paid off and she's risen through the ranks. Now, she works for the Royal Orchestra itself, toiling every day to produce perfection. Untouchable, practiced, impeccable...lonely.

Vinyl couldn't be any lower. Out of home, out of work, and nowhere to go but to a cold grave. Cast out and left to fend for herself, Vinyl has nothing, not even a friend to call her own.

The two cross paths.

A love story that many have known, and yet different. Both come in broken, beaten down people, their only hope each other.

Octavia Melody and Vinyl Scratch are musicians and the best of friends; despite this, the two couldn't be more different. But when Octavia leaves Ponyville to find her fortune, she learns that her friend might have been all she ever really needed. Meanwhile, Vinyl finds herself trapped in the shadow of her father, struggling to make her own fame.

Follow them, and many other Equestrian musicians, as they further their musical careers, meet new friends, find love, and experience loss. Together, they encounter dangers, challenges and, ultimately, face the greatest realization of all - what it means to accept one's own destiny.

Using songs of the fandom for inspiration, this story was crafted to show the love of music in all it's forms, but also the love music brings to those around it. This story follows the timeline of the show, trying to match it as closely as possible. This does not mean it's not without bumps.
