UNSC AWARD CEREMONY, PLANET EARTH, 2560
Previous week marked the end of the ongoing Human-Covenant war, with Humans and Elites emerging as victorious by forming a treaty and together defeating the Covenant Loyalists. Since previous week, Humans and the Elites have been getting along well. Humans and elites have started trading technologies with each other. Humans telling elites about Titanium and Uranium and their properties, while Elites taught the humans about Plasma and it’s nature. Their were rumours that a flirtious human had started dating a female elite soldier. Everything was going very well this past week.
Right now, The award ceremony was going at planet earth at a classified location. Various high ranking humans and elites were present for the occasion.
Everyone was sitting together on different seats in a very large hall with a stage on which, The president of of the Unified Earth Government and The Arbiter, Leader of covenant Separatists were standing and awarding the deserving people. All the elites and humans were cheering and clapping for the one who got awarded.
Many Spartan teams, ODST squads and a lot of marines were sitting together. Marines and ODSTs were cheering loudly for the awarded people whereas, the spartans were mostly quite. Civilians were watching the show from their homes and cheering for their heroes, who had saved their lives by defeating the covenant.
But there was one spartan,” Spartan-127 a.k.a Parth” commonly known as lone-wolf, sitting in a completely secluded area but not away from the visions of other soldiers. He was checking out his sexy looking black armour with dark blue visor and with white stripes running along his armour, while occasionally glancing at stage to see the awarded individual. One thing the spartan was ignoring that most of the women present in the area were mostly eyeing on him, even the female spartans, with half- lidded eyes and with seductive postures, He was getting such an attention due to the amazing feats he put in the Human-Covenant war.
“ Is he that spartan who took out 13 covenant planets alone ?” one of the female marines asked.
“ His armour looks awesome, I hope he is all that good as I have heard from other women saying that he is very handsome.” another female marine said.
“ Doesn’t matter, I know he looks so hot, I can tell.” a female ODST said, with seductive voice.
“ Shut up you all, he is mine and mine alone.” one of the female spartan said, the last part in a very low voice so that no one could here.
“ I wonder how good is he in bed.” another female spartan said.
These were the kinds of talks, that Spartan-127 was listening from past one hour. He was ignoring these talks, but still felt uncomfortable about the attention he was getting from the women. But his luck sprung up as his name was finally called.
“ And we have the last but not the least nominee, the one because of whom we were able to win the war and the one who not only destroyed 13 Covenant loyalists planet but, also discovered a Forerunner ship, which no other spartan could achieve, please welcome the one and only ‘SPARTAN-127’.” the president of UEG said with pride.
Almost immediately, Spartan-127 stood up from the crate on which he was sitting and made his way to the stage. Continuous cheering was being done for him, especially by the women.
He was awarded ‘The Medal of Honour’ for going behind enemy lines and destroying the enemy planets. He also received ‘The Disintiguished Service Cross’ for extreme acts of heroism, which saved a lot of Civilians from being burned away by molten plasma. He received many more medals after this with continuous cheering still going on for him.
“ Now for you extra rewards, Spartan-127 after a long discussion, considering your loyalty towards the UNSC, your bravery and your thriving nature to learn new things, The UEG and the Swords of Sanghelios together have decide that you, Spartan-127, will be rewarded the Forerunner ship that you have discovered. You have also been promoted to Vice- president of the UEG and so, you have access to all the UNSC space. You can take your Forerunner ship anywhere you want and no one will question you about it, not even the ONI. You may even venture outside of UNSC space and do anything you wish with your ship.” the President concluded her a kind of ‘award speech’ to spartan-127 with a smile on here face, also with half lidded eyes.
Every soldier’s jaw dropped on hearing such an award for Spartan-127. Some were jealous, while others especially the women were happy and cheering for the spartan. ONI were literally not happy about this, as they would loose command on the most powerful ship.
Parth was personally taken aback, after listening such an award from him. He was still trying to process the fact that he is free to venture anywhere he wanted. But most important of all he noticed the way, how president was looking at him, he concluded a thought.
” Is she also trying to Seduce me....God damn it, that’s why I got so much freedom...I don’t understand, what do these women see in me.”
Shrugging of this thought, he did a perfect salute to the president, who also followed the same suit. Spartan-127, then retired to his room, to which he was assigned.
He went in their an was greeted by, Serry the A.I. construct he saved from dying who joined him on his course and Anubis, the A.I. of the Forerunner ship that Parth had discovered. Anubis pledged her loyalty to the spartan after he saved her from the torture that the flood was delivering to her to extract information. She along with 100 promethean knights under her command since then, have been with Parth and have made clear that they will stay with him.
“ Anubis, I have two updates for you.” Parth said.
“ What are they ?” the A.I. asked out of curiosity.
“ First, the government has decided to award me the forerunner ship that we discovered while we were evading those flood forms and secondly, we are leaving tomorrow.” Parth said sternly.
“ That’s great that I would be under your command, but where are we leaving to ?” the A.I. asked excitingly and curiously at the same time.
“ We will leave the UNSC space and venture outside it, my plan is to discover new planets and possibly, new alien life form, which would be opposite in nature to that of Covenant, I need you to ask your prometheans to prepare the ship by tomorrow morning.” Parth ordered Anubis.
“ As you wish sir, though I would like to brief you about our ship.” The A.I. said.
“ Carry on Anubis, I must have knowledge about it.” Path said.
“ OK sir, our ship has been named as the ‘UNSC-THE ENDURANCE’ as per the trends of the government protocols. Our ship is 2.13 kilometres long and 300 metres wide. Our ship has two modes.1) Cruising mode- In this mode our ship will look like a normal cruiser, just like other UNSC ships, this is the mode in which we can use our slip-space drive with maximum speed efficiency, the only disadvantages with this mode is that our energy shields will not be completely in power and secondly, most of our weapons will be disabled. 2) Combat mode- In this mode, our ship will rearrange itself to look like a giant robot, our all weapons will become active in this mode and the energy shields will recharge to their maximum extent, the capacity which will be 2x times more than that in cruising mode. It will take 15 seconds for the ship to change between it’s 2 modes.” Anubis finished her long lecture on basic modes of the ship and Parth acknowledged.
“ OK Anubis, two mode will definitely help us to form effective strategies against our enemies, tell me about our weapons.” Parth asked and Anubis began explaining.
“ Our ship has a lot of weapons, the strong being the DMFBC i.e. Dilos Magneton Force Building Cannon, this cannon fires magnetically amplified proton laser which can destroy half a planet as large as earth with just one hit, rendering that half portion of the planet lifeless. Secondly we have 3 MACs i.e. Magnetic Acceleration cannon which can destroy a city as large as New York with 3 hits. Lastly we have thousands of ground turrets, Anti-air turrets, installed Spartan lasers on the borders of the ships and lots of plasma cannons, the ammunition of all these weapons are capable of destroying anything that would stand in their way. We also have a Plasma rail gun, which fires hot and burning Plasma in vertically downward direction, it is the same plasma beam which covenant used to glass your planets. Our ship is powerful enough to deal with 20 covenant battle cruisers alone.” Anubis finished with hint of pride in her voice.
This literally shocked the Spartan, as he never expect his ship to have this many weapons and capabilities.
“ WOW ! It seems we are already prepared, I shall get to packing then, I need to put a lot of clothes.” Parth exclaimed sarcastically, which caused Anubis and Serry, both to chuckle.
Parth, after packing everything up, undressed himself and threw himself on his bed. He said his good nights to anubis and serry, who returned the favour.
“ From tomorrow on, My life will change completely now”. Parth said before dozing off to a good night sleep, after the war.
