Princess Twilight Sparkle decided to settle down by asking her true love to marry her and "he" accepted her proposal. It's a great moment in the young Alicorn's life, and her friends are elated at their friend's news.
Except for one of them.
Discord, the Lord of Chaos, can't believe what's happening, and tries to talk some sense into the ponies. Too bad nopony will listen to him. Why is Discord trying to talk Twilight out of marrying her true love?
Her "true love" is a book! Yes, B-O-O-K, book!

Idea for sequel. Discord tells fluttershy but doesn't get across it's a book. Fluttershy thinks, but doesn't say, that he is jealous, because he actually does have a thing for twi. Tells him that he must give a gift that shows he accepts and that twis offer was a joke to drive him off.
Discord gives twilight a everfilling inkwell and 'booky' he gives the "gift of life". Making him into a pony.

I do have a couple of ideas for a sequel to this though.
Now that was an A grade prank they pulled on Discord XD Also I love the extra snippets that got thrown in there like Starlight popping in at random. Very good. :)

Glad you liked it! A funny thing about Starlight showing up is that it's silly and random, yet not too ridiculous; she showed up in the castle out of nowhere in the season 5 finale.
I kinda expected "Starlight Glimmer" (considering the air-quotes on her name in the fic) to end up being Lyra or Vinyl, or one of the other unicorns in a costume.
Still, WOO! That was a good one!
