Thanks to having some free time, Princess Twilight accompanied the human Mane 7 to Equestria Land in the human world. To the dismay of two girls, what she chose to do first was to play Flim and Flam's infamous ring toss game. Knowing their game was nigh-impossible to win, the Princess's human counterpart begged her to not mess with it.
However, Princess Twilight wasn't a regular ring toss player, but a champion who claimed she had never lost. With just one ring, the Princess of Friendship left herself (literally), Sunset, and even Flim and Flam in disbelief.
Let's just say that more begging and hilarity followed.
Cute.
.
I mean didn't Rainbow end up winning that game for them as payback and it seemed she either did it with only one ring too or at least did much better than them, so it's a little weird for them to be stunned someone else could do it. Though, it's not a big deal and I can let it slide.

Thanks.

Would have been my thoughts exactly with how Sunset ended up at it again.

The game Rainbow went on to play and dominate wasn't ring toss, but the one where you throw balls at a stack of bottles (which can be an easier game to win to boot, especially if it's someone who's good at throwing) and she nailed every stack with one ball each. So as far as Sunset and Sci-Twi knew, Flim and Flam's ring toss game was rigged.

Eh, Ya missed, Pal!
I’m reasonably certain if I tried and failed at something hundreds if not thousands of times and then succeeded by changing only one variable like that I would either go on a murder spree or have an aneurism. Or both.
This is basically the figuring-out Pinkie Sense episode, but with Twilight and respectively Sci-Twi. Don't worry Sunset, I'm sure there's a random thing out there that only you can do.
This was hilarious. Really funny.
My favorite parts were Sunsetʼs deadpan snarker comments and looks. Iʼve always loved her sarcasm and wit, so it was a pleasure to read them here, too.

A not too inaccurate visual of what Sci-Twi was doing, just with her left hand
11474114
I might be torn between just being glad I finally did it and yelling at the heavens about how at all things, such a small change was the key.
11474379
Glad you liked it
11474508
Probably, but let's just hope she doesn't get carried away if she ever actively tried to find whatever thing out there was Sunset-exclusive. Given she ever leaves that ring toss booth, that is.
11475038
Glad you like enjoyed it! I do love that sassy and witty Sunset too, and especially her gamer side.
Ha! First try!
Nice story, mate. Definitely worth a fav.
Oh dear... carnival games.
Of course Flim and Flam are there. No matter what dimension it is.
Who else never thought to see Twilight embrace the Pink side of life?
11475121
Princess Twilight wasn't called "One Ring Mare" for nothing
11475298
It helps that it was herself that told Sci-Twi about "the method," or she would have thought she would never be able to do it and went on her way...which would have made this story shorter and less funny.
And Princess twilight sure learned to embrace it sometimes, unless she went to risk taking more anvils to the head or something
Fun, I wonder how many ponies in Equestria drove themselves crazy trying to figure out how Twilight does it... Likely while Discord watches and eats popcorn.
Princess: Honestly...sometimes I'm concerned about the sanity in this dimension.
Spike: Clock is ticking!
Princess: What?
Spike: Nothing.
The moment that even Timber Spruce is too boring that he doesn't exist anymore.
Honestly, Sunset going to an anger management teacher is funny, but also logical and sounds interesting for a fic idea.
Oof, this was a rollercoaster, a fun one. You got me when they all ponied up, and even more when it also failed. The ring throwing scene was one of my favourite scenes in EqG, and you made it even better. Well done!
Christ, is her temper that bad that she needed to learn from an anger management teacher? XD
(Sorry if anybody found this offensive, I just felt it was funny. Saying from a point of someone with temper issues themselves ^^')
PFFT 3 YEARS DANG SUNSET-

Timber Spruce out to be the next Justin Beiber of the EqG fandom
RIP, poor fella💀
11475763
Probably not too many since few can reach Twilight-levels of obsession. But I can imagine some that lost to Princess Twilight in ring toss had headaches over just the fact that a mare beat them all literallly with her eyes closed
11475909
Spike: I'm not even going to tell her. Just let her keep thinking she's the most sane out of us.
11476207
To Timber's defense, since he never hung out with Sci-Twi at Equestrian Land (on scene at least) Flim and Flam just thought she was single, given they were still an item by this point.
I don't recall any fics of Sunset going to an anger management teacher, but now that you mention it, it now feels a little odd that they aren't that many. "Forgotten friendship" & "Rollercoaster of friendship" in particular gave plenty of ammo for such a story.
In any case, glad you enjoyed this story The ring toss bit was my favorite part of that special and even one of my favorite EQG moments overall.
That tells you just how much Sunset was bored to feel like she was waiting so long for Sci-Twi it either finally win or give up

I have an interesting theory. Just like Pinkie Pie's mind disturbing Sunset, same with others like the Joker's mind being painful to read, I like to think trying to read Twilight's mind would be also painful, but the twist is that the reasons are entirely different. Twilight's thoughts are probably extremely logical, still having quite great bouts of creativity and having a fairly confy place...assuming you don't get overloaded because Twilight's mind is disturbing in a "quantity over quality" manner compared to the Joker's flat out disturbing mind, her freak outs come because she has so many thoughts, so many ideas she keeps to herself, her constant tendency to second guess the world around her means she generates so many thoughts and feelings, Sunset trying her powers on her would probably overload her with stress. (And that might also explain Twilight's huge appetite in Twilight Time....having so many thoughts in an extremely short ammount of time probably means she consumes a lot of glucose just by assembling a menial mental puzzle alone).

I'll let you take it what you will, if you find something that I intentionally left in to see if anyone notices it...
11477493
That could make for a funny story. Sunset tries to read Princess Twilight's mind thinking it wouldn't be any harder than reading Sci-Twi's mind, then get a bigsurprise when she tries!
I prefer the "D'oh I missed" routine from Wario from Mario Party. The Runaway Guys love it too.
11505809
Wario's "D'oh I missed!" was actually my first thought to put in, but I shot it down because (fun fact) Wario really says "So ein mist", which apparently means "Oh crap!" or "Oh bummer!" in german, but it sounds like he said "D'oh I missed" to the American ear. I only just recently found that out, so I was thinking Wario was saying "D'oh I missed" for years, although our way sounds funnier anyway
