In ancient times the land was once laid in forests. Ages ago mythical beings of great size inhabited and ruled over it. Back then, those beings lived peacefully with the slowly emerging pony race. But as time passed by, the pony race started to expand over the land.

Many forests have been destroyed in the process of this expansion. This act enraged the mythical creatures and friendship was replaced by hostility.

To end the hostility Princess Celestia created a great wall that seperated the "Undiscovered West" from Equestria. It all happened before the banishment of her sister Princess Luna.

But after a millenium of peaceful silence... a message reaches Canterlot about a crack in the wall. The curiosity of the small filly called Fray Leaf will lead her into the "Unexplored West" where she will meet a most unusual friend.

Times are dark when the land is ripped apart by the disappearance of the sisters. Everypony seems to be out for themselves. Even the mane six have split to form their own houses. Equestria is Divided, and needs hope again, but who will that be?

Princess Celestia has two pressing issues. The first is her need for cake, an addiction that has lasted for over a century. Since Luna’s return, Celestia has hidden her dependency, but by chance Luna discovers the truth. Celestia, to assuage her sister’s worries, agrees to join a support group with a disguise, though she just might get more help than she first thought.

The second is rampant corruption and scheming in Canterlot. Her court has managed to become nothing more than a stage for putting on acts, the scripts written in the dark. Her nephew Blueblood is one of the key players of this corruption. Celestia has no idea how large his spy networks have grown, but even he can’t control everything.

Far away, above the Neighagra Falls, in the Region of Crystal, lies the Forest of the Deer. Few know about them. Few know that there is even a forest. But there, in isolation, there they are. The Crystal Deer, and the Papilio Changeling Hive. Living in isolation for thousands of years, the two kingdoms live knowing only of each other. But that has changed. The Papilio Hive has gained news of Chrysalis' defeat. With it, comes the knowledge of Equestria, and its rulers and inhabitants. Then, came the Crystal Empire, only miles away from their resting place. The ignorant have been educated at last.

2 years later, the Empress and Queen have finally decided.
Its time to open up the gates. After almost 7,000 years, the isolated kingdoms have finally sent out the requests for ambassadors and reporters to come to their country, so that they may meet and learn what they have been missing for so long. Finally, a link has been sent out. Its time for the world to know.
The Forest of the Deer and the Papilio Changeling Hive are out of their shell, and only relations and bonds, and quite possibly enemies, can come out of it.

Set after season 5 finale! This story is primarily based on my original species, the Crystal Deer, so I will regularly update and edit this story as ideas come to me. Dont worry, I will still work on my other story, Divided. (is talking to literally no-one )
