Twilight Sparkle was using radio signals to view the stars of the night sky when she picked up a signal of some sort.

After a few days of working she managed to get a clear signal.

What she heard on that first day caused her to invite her friends to listen to the strange signal the next day.

Over the next few days Twilight and her friends listen to the final words of a group of aliens as they try to survive on a planet that has died by their own hands.

Note: I was inspired to write this after reading several other stories about the Mane 6 listening to radio signals from space. This will be a short story.

It's the nine hundredth and eighty fifth Nightmare Night. Or in a week, at least. But a young, aspiring Twilight Sparkle desires to make it the night of the millennium. Darkness rises, plans unfold, and in the end, no one's on top.

Set in an alternate timeline. Fluttershy encounters a strange creature in the woods. After realizing the animal is injured she tries nursing it back to health only to discover she has one of the most dangerous and powerful mages ever to inhabit Equestria in her care.

Nightmare Moon had finally broken free of her prison. It was time to get her revenge on Celestia and bring about night eternal. Six mortal ponies rose up to stop her, using the power of the Elements of Harmony.

Whether time heals all wounds or simply exacerbates them remains to be seen. When Twilight outlives her friends and loved ones (even the ones she thought were immortal) she has a crisis of faith. Can she still be called the Princess of Friendship if she has no friends to speak of?

While coaching her grandniece and nephew to inherit Equestria's throne, Twilight will converse with an unusual constellation, partake in some good ol' fashioned suicidal ideation, and steal powerful curses as she searches for purpose. In travelling to faraway lands and meeting strange and fascinating creatures, Twilight might just learn the most important lesson of all; how to love herself again.

Years ago, we had the princesses. They controlled the sun and the moon. They brought light, hope and happiness. Then some ponies thought that nobility was oppressive and that they princesses needed to go. A war broke out and after a few years the rebels actually won. The princesses were tried and sentenced to death. Little did they know that when the princesses lives ended, so did the stars that they controlled. Immediately after their deaths, the lights went out and the world was cast into darkness. Plants died and society broke down.
Years, later, a mare on the run stumbles upon the ruins of Ponyville. Inside a house that she is hiding in, she finds a journal. It was written by the mare who used to live there, named Bon Bon. It tells the story of her life before the darkness came and her attempts to save her wife and daughter from the madness that would soon follow.

This story is a sequel to Dawn Of The Silver Sun

The Corrupted came from the west, that is all that's known. Before ponies understood what's going on, princess Celestia marched to stop them. She had to know something nopony else did, but it wasn't enough.

The last vestiges of ponies and changelings are now ruled by princess Luna, queen Chrysalis, and Twilight Sparkle, starving and losing hope in face of an enemy who grows stronger with every passing day.

Spike lives in the small town of Ponyville. It is most famous in the Equestrian region for the professor that lives there and the official Pokemon gym that is apart of the Pokemon league. He is the assistant of the Professor, Twilight Sparkle, who gives all the children of Ponyville their starter Pokemon. Spike however, is always left out when the new Pokemon arrive, and quite frankly, he's getting a little sick of it.

Then on a fateful day, while going through his normal day in Ponyville; he enters the Everfree to find Zecora. But along the way, he meets someone who helps begin his journey as a Pokemon trainer.
