In the normal world, everypony is really nice. In the other world...not so much!

Affection therapy: a new and innovative practice in Equestria wherein the patient/subject is calmed and relaxed through simple displays of platonic affection, such as ear scratches, nose boops, and belly rubs. It's surprisingly effective, and leaves the pony happy and content. The strangest thing, however, is that you, a simple human living in Ponyville, 'invented' this practice completely by accident.

*I wrote this a long time ago, before Every Little Thing She Does aired. The first chapter takes place between No Second Prances and that episode, and I decided to touch it up and release it now as an early Christmas gift to you guys, as a simple piece of cute, platonic fluff. More to come, too, when I find the time and inspiration.

It is Hearth Warming Eve time and a tragic, sewer dwelling, Pegasus born with bat wings and a set of sharp teeth named Fluttershy Cobblewing AKA The Pegabat is planning to return to normal society after a lifetime living in the fringes of society which included a time being a sideshow freak at the circus and as a prisoner in a lab owned by the ghoulish and sadistic Crystal Emperor Sombra. Fueled by her cruel and horrific backstory she desperately longs to be accepted into society as a fellow pony not as a freakish monster at all costs. In order to achieve this she teams up with corrupt businesscolt Filthy Rich who wants to rule the city with The Pegabat as his puppet mayor by unleashing a horrific crime wave on citizens of Ponyville. But Ponyville's superhero Mare Do Well AKA Princess Twilight Sparkle is the only one who can stop The Pegabat and Filthy Rich's scheme. Based on Tim Burton's Batman Returns and Elfen Lied.

Sometimes, life goes on. Even when it doesn't.

Y'know, I was once an average guy. A completely normal male human being. Sure I had my oddities but who doesn't, right? Then I woke up in Equestria after one too many shots of whiskey at 3AM whilst watching some random ass anime.

Now that in itself sounds fucking weird but that's not even the full story. Somehow good old reliable purple smart managed to not only change my species and my gender but also my age. Now I'm stuck with a lavender coated princess who has become my 'caretaker' and I'm being forced to go to school!

I still can't believe this isn't some crazy drug trip. Well, whatever - if this is a drug trip then I'm gonna make sure this will be the best drug trip of my life. So take a look into my new personal life and prepare to see the horrors that I'll bring to this hippy horse land.

Starlight has always distrusted friendship, but, when she is infected by a disease transmitted via magic, she has no choice but to listen to some lessons about friendship from Double Diamond. Whether she learns anything is another question. A founding of Our Town / Love in a time of “Covid-19” story. (Updated 8/12/21 with very minor details related to The Runway Bodyguard)

The [Sex] tag is for language that indicates something happens, nothing graphic, and that is why it requires the [Teen] rating. While all my Starlight stories are plotted carefully to not conflict with her depiction in the show, nothing in the show implies the Enforcerverse milieu, so I'm bowing to the suggestion and including the [Alternate universe] tag.

The story is written as a one-shot (2 chapters due to size). Technically, this is a sequel to The Enforcer and Her Blackmailers, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed reading out of order. This story is as good a place to start reading these stories as any. In a sense, it is a prequel for Starlight and the Double Diamond Affair (tagged M), but the Our Town events in The Cutie Map are a few years away and will come between this story and and that story. Starlight brings up her past often in story, even revealing information from the novel The Runaway Bodyguard. It could be considered spoilers. As the author, I don’t think it substantially lessens the impact of the other stories.
