How do I know this story won't die after only one chapter?
Hmm this is very intriguing and has me hooked. I will be looking forward to see where this goes

This was gripping right from the start.
In its one chapter, this story affirms that big feelings don't have to come from big words. The descriptions were direct and detailed while maintaining just the right amount of vagueness to keep my imagination involved. Even more importantly, the emotions were intense and intangible and very well written. I got this sense that every time Sunset grasped what she thought she was supposed be feeling, she would start feeling something else. It was like trying to hold an object made of smoke, only for it to vanish into a haze that would reform into something new every time.
All in all, I'm confused. But I'm supposed to be confused, so it's this really cool kind of exciting/nervous/dreadful anticipation. It's incredibly difficult to communicate such a feeling, so congrats for pulling it off so effectively. I very much look forward to seeing what you have in store for us next!

Another wonderful and enticing chapter. This story is so amazingly unique and I can't wait to see where it goes next!
Ok... So something "killed" her, maybe for real, maybe just a nasty coma that her magiced up body fooled the hospital into thinking she was dead.
However their was no autopsy, or she would be in much worse shape, nor was she embalmed. And whomever payed for her funeral and headstone didn't send her body home.
So, either she is a self powering undead, using her own magic and will, she is not really dead after all, but was in the ground for a bit as she has a headstone, or she had her apotheosis while dead and buried.
Or, and this is my favorite, this is Human Sunset, and she was dead, but something Pony Sunset did, or had happen to her, caused this. Would explain why things seem to be missing.

I've read a lot of Sunset fics. A LOT of Sunset fics.
This is easily now one of my favorites.
Rereading this, Watermelody's writings and flashes of memory take on whole new meanings now that I know what she's witnessed. Funny enough, I'm reminded of a similar thing in Last Light, my own SadSunny fic.
Needless to say, I'm very interested to see where you take the story from here. This is up there with Coping as my favorite In-Progress story.

I believe you are what one would call nervacited.
I like how earlier Flint mentioned his late wife was better with kids, and in this chapter he laments as such ("Oh Sugar, come back for just one day.") Little character continuities like that add so much.

SciTwi is normally an abomination, but this? This has promise. I'm really glad we're starting before Friendship Games. Makes SciTwi more bearable. Really looking forward to seeing this develop.

Now that's an interesting assumption...Wonder if the others will come to that conclusion as well when they first meet Sunny. After their initial shock wears off of her "resemblance" to there dead friend, of course.

The way you weave bits of information into establishing paragraphs is really cool. Reminds me a lot of scene transitions in movies, for some reason. A+ as always.
Honestly, the way you're developing this is like... Scientifically engineered to be as engaging as possible. I can't remember the last time I was so gripped by a story, despite having no idea where it was headed. As such, I suppose it's only fair I induct you into the Cool Kids' Club of authors who have to deal with "Next chapter???" comments.

Your writing's just so snappy and engaging, and it's awesome to see Sci-Twi brought in and your interpretation of her character, from her relationship to her brother to the little details about her life at school, to how she interacts with "Sunny".

Goodness gracious, this was a roller coaster. Sunset apparently knows she fell to her death, though if she learned this from the newspaper she doesn't know for certain why. Shining Armor's reaction to seeing Sunset was brutal, recalling the precinct-style report of her body to his strained attempts to remain calm for the sake of his awkward sister's first friendship...
Dash thinks someone killed her, then? That sounds like denial, to be honest. Between Sunset's eulogy and epitaph and the suicide/self-harm tag :p, it seemed pretty clear she took her own life... even if death gave it back.
And as always, stellar writing and characters. There's a lot of great authors on this site, and you're really something special.

Okay but seriously this chapter had me going from laughing out loud to actively grimacing in the span of a couple minutes and good god the ??? of the situation is ratcheting up and I am HERE for it. Shining and "Sunny" interacting was delightful as ever, and him having to admit the uncomfortable truth to himself did not disappoint. And Rainbow Dash is such an unknown quantity at this point and I can't even guess what her reaction's gonna be when it comes to confrontationtime.
Holy fricking heck, this story gets better with every chapter. I've never been so engrossed in a fanfic as I am with this one.

That was a ton of fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, especially with those tags. Maybe some kind of dark and serious take on a rez’d Sunset, maybe some kind of horror type story, or maybe an emotional rollercoaster of everyone making up with a rez’d Sunset. Instead, it’s this glorious half dark comedy half mystery that still deals with the emotional trauma, but has a lot of fun along the way.
Amnesiac zombie Sunset and her antics are hilarious and the mystery around her is intriguing. SciTwi is pretty funny herself and the protective and terrified Shining and Spike really help add to the mystery and dread factor. Even Rainbow Dash has been compelling so far. Can’t wait for more.
