The new 2013 Applejack can handle all this and more!

It's been a long time since the nations around Equestria have signed a treaty, promising peace and open borders, resulting in the creation of the Commonwealth. That very peace is maintained, but not without consequences: organized crime runs rampant in the background, and the municipal police forces and even the Equestrian Royal Guard are helpless to stop it, resulting in the creation of the Bounty Hunters Collective to take down unsavory crime elements away from the gaze of the public eye.

But within the veteran ranks of the bounty hunters, there is a group... a secretive and selective task force, created under the order of Princess Luna: a group of agents, peacekeepers sworn to protect the innocent and serve the just, are the last line of defense against the Commonwealth's ever-increasing crime problem.

These select operatives, the Judicators, act as the final judge on behalf of the Princess of the Night, bringing the most dangerous criminals to justice, at any cost, dead or alive. Among them, a trio of Judicators working on a basic investigation on behalf of the Princess herself soon find themselves embroiled in a massive underground plan that threatens the stability of the Commonwealth itself.

Hi. If you're listening to me, chances are you're probably not a human. Or, at least, not anymore. Human's don't really exist around here, except others in other forms. Me, I'm pretty much unique. Unique among the unique. And I like this place. Beats getting a swirly on a daily basis anytime. Except for maybe the almost-dying part, but even that seems better. This is my story. How I went from being everybody's favorite punching bag to a legendary beast. Who knows, maybe you'll catch lucky and come here with me. Probably better than living on the planet of the jerks. But enough about that. Let me tell you about, well, me.

This is a part of the many-writer story called "Chess Game of the Gods", which started with Rust's "The Ballad of Echo the Diamond Dog" which merged with Blackwing's "Griffin the Griffin", and many others joined. Permission has been granted.

Sup, the name's Mark. Or was Mark, anyway that's not to important anymore. Just know that while I lived on Earth, I was constantly under pressure to follow the rules and fit a mold that didn't fit well with me. My life was constantly controlled by a system I despised.

Well since getting sucker punched into Equestria by a goddess those days are over. Being the one and only Winged Wolf in the known world is a huge help to being able to make my own rules. I'm finally free to do what I want, when I want, and how I want and that's exactly what I'm planning on doing.

Set in the same universe as The Ballad of Echo the Diamond Dog and Griffin the Griffin.

I did get permission from both Rust and BlackWing to use the same setting as their characters. Go read both of their stories. They're awesome. Reading them is what made me want to write this story in the first place, so if you liked this, you'll fall in love with those stories.

Added the Dark tag just in case. There will be a decent amount of violence later on. Will add character tags as they become important to the story.

I'm just a normal guy. Or, what passes for normal in today's world, anyways. I went on a walk one day to cool off, and some guy asks me some questions before sending me off to Equestria, where I learn that not all is sunshine and rainbows in what many assume is a perfect little country. But now I know better.

According to some friends I make on the way, there is what looks like a little war going on between some impressive players. I can only hope I'm up to scratch...

This story takes place in the Chess Game of the Gods universe.

I always wanted to go to Equestria. When I got the chance, I took the deal without reading the fine print. To my surprise, I didn't arrive there as a pony, or even as a human. It seems I get to view this world from a different perspective than what I've imagined.
