Travis Rayne, a pretty cool, yet shy, teenager moves into Canterlot High School, and yet thinks this could be his dream come true to get a girl of his dreams, as yet that was his life wish ever since. He yet failed quite a bit in the past...OK maybe alot in the past, but now he sets his eye on a beautiful future. And that starts with the cute and adorable, Sunset Shimmer. Though, it is not going to be easy for him, as yet he feels like he will screw up once again, but will he actually? Along the way, he gets the friends that will help him out through his days in high school. Find out if Rayne gets the girl of his dreams. My first story, so enjoy!

The wedding was a disaster, Twilight abandoned by her friends and family alike during it yet expected to get things fixed up after the defeat of the changelings, it is understandable that she is upset. Trying to clear her mind she takes a walk and comes across a normally guarded corridor, though is left unguarded due to the recent crisis causing her to investigate. It isn't to get out of worrying about a wedding she isn't invited to, not at all.

She finds the portal mirror and enters it to explore it, her anger at the others encouraging her to skip any safety precautions. Unfortunately, she ends up trapped on the other side on the run from people trying to catch her. That is until one girl finds her, a girl willing to believe her story and offers to help. A girl with a much more painful past who is still working on her own issues. A girl who goes by the name of Sunset Shimmer.

One month ago Silver Spark started school at Canterlot High after moving to get away from his past and recover from his loss. This plan hasn't gone very well so far; it's almost as if someone is actively trying to ruin his life. Friendless and avoided by the bulk student body, he is an ideal target for bullies. The Fall Formal is coming soon and Silver might just find a place for a proper new beginning.

Still, ignoring the past doesn't make it go away. It has a habit of popping back up in the strangest ways.

Note: This starts as a re-telling/writing of the Equestria Girls storyline starting at the very beginning but you can expect some divergence from canon as time progresses. it is first person, primarily from the perspective of Silver Spark. Octavia is a polite mare on her way up to fame as a cellist. She was brought up in a strict manner in order to be the perfect member of a perfect family. It was an annoyance at times, and she felt trapped. Of course, Octavia rebelled against it; her family knew what was best and what kind of pony wouldn't want to be perfect?

One day, she meets a homeless mare named Vinyl Scratch and immediately takes her in and asks her to be her servant. Vinyl opens Octavia's eyes, telling her that she's capable of making her own decisions, and that her family simply needed to accept her.

It has been weeks since the defeat of the Dazzlings, and Sunset Shimmer's friendships have only gotten stronger. Whilst finally relaxing in the times of peace, Sunset discovers an old enemy: Sonata Dusk. Strangely alone and apparently homeless, Sonata's luck seems to be at its all time low.
Seeing a little of herself in the former siren, Sunset embarks on a mission to help Sonata find friendship.
