Okay, I read this story before, a long time ago and I decided to reread it and catch up and a few things come to mind. I have several questions.

Firstly... Cain, as if the first murderer according to the Bible.... Does this mean God is a thing? Cause if God is a Thing that really does bring into question a lot of things about Discords mere existence. Like why make him in the first place, or why he would allow him to kill humanity if we are oh so special according to the Bible. It also undermines the whole nihilistic themes you have going on in latter chapters since if we're doing the God thing, that means Nihilism is inherently wrong, and as an Anti-Nihilist myself I find that kind odd.

Actually it kinda makes the world building you worked so hard on a big mess. The existence of God means humanity was made in his image. It kinda brings into question Revelation and everything.

Next is Discords age. I mean I get that Discord exists as a result of emergent sapience in humanity, and he wants to die and can only do so by killing humanity, which didn't work cause humans made Ponies, Dragons, Griffons and what not out of Spite which reawoke him from 'death' but if he can only exist as sapience does, then he wouldn't be NEARLY as old as he claims. Human civilization is just over 6,000 years old, and modern humanity itself as a species is only lived for 200,000 years. If after he killed a vast majority of the population he entered a state of sort of death, then he wouldn't reemerge until new sapient life came into being. Celestia is according to your story 5,000 years old. I get that it has been millions of years since humanity, but how long has sapient life existed? It can't be that long. There is no way Discord is millions of years old, not mentally at least. Hundreds of thousand years maybe, but not Millions.

Unless Discord is linked not to sapience but life itself, which would make him over 4 Billion years old but that cannot be the case becase the difference between a million and a billion is VAST. 1 billion is literally 1,000 millions. To undershoot it so greatly would be like if a multi thousand year old entity like Celestia said it was only Decades old.

Of course this isn't much of a problem, only one that bothered me a bit.

Next one however is a bit odd. Why would nave say “Many activities, many of which are illegal. And my lady, I am no thief, unless you find yourself wanting a heart stolen.” considering he has no attraction to ponies. I get that it can be seen as a joke, but it seems like a phenomenally stupid move on his part considering this is a society of Multiple sapient species and this is someone who has been trapped for a thousand years who has been watching him up till this point. I don't follow.

Also I have to ask, why would Nav help Twilight if from his perspective she is his unwitting Kidnapper?

Also what does Twilight expect him to do? I mean I get that “The rules of her little contest specify that we can only use things that we have magicked or enchanted,” means she CAN use him, but what is he supposed to do?

I mean I get that she wants to beat Trixie so badly she won't think about doing that again, which is kinda dumb against an egotistical character, but it's not like Nav is anything special.

For both the fake flirting and magical duel, if Nav had acted ANY differently he would have not ended up in the situations he finds himself in latter in the story. Like the whole thing with Pinkie and her needing his help to clear out some Naga. Which is probably the SINGLE DUMBEST thing he did. Why would Nav in any way help Pinke considering that at that point she had raped him? Who helps their own rapist... Who owes ANYTHING to their own rapist? Why not after waking up he just gets back on the train says a hearty 'Fuck You' and goes back to Ponyville. I get that Fluttershy was there and everything, but if I got raped, I wouldn't help my rapist just because they was friends witm one of my friends. Hell not even if they were friends with someone I looked up to, like George Carlin, Lewis Black, or Christopher Hitchens.

These are not the behaviors of anyone intelligent at all. In fact it was these specific things that lead to every thing bad that happened in the story, and they have no logic to them. If Nav decided not to fake flirt with the emotionally damaged princess, if he didn't agree to fight with from what was his point of view his Kidnapper? And if he didn't decide helping his rapist was a good idea? Then none of that crazy bad shit that happened to him would have happened to him. It makes no sense.

You are good at World Building, but your main character is FAR from intelligent for these first few chapters. Maybe I missed this stuff durring my first read through, but now these all seem like really dumb things that only happened because they HAD to happen for your entire story to work in the first place.

Add that to other issues I remember like How would Celestia convince the world she can control the sun if she really can do it, which is a mystery. I remember hearing something about her being able to rotate earth in reverse, but that would only bring up the issue of how everything on the planet didn't get Flung off into space.

Is there any logical reason that he chose to do these things, other than 'He's stupid' cause That can't be it considering he doesn't appear to be except at these specific times.

7573735 Not sure what you mean by Nihilism, Discord is the god of chaos, even Athena makes an appearance. And there's plenty of ghosts and spirits, suggesting there is an underworld. If we assume that Cain's god is either dead or goes by a different name (maybe Zeus?), then it still makes sense. As for helping pinkie, I think it was the chapter after the rape that said it best. She is the Pepe Le Pew to his Penelope Pussycat. The only way to deal with her is to follow the madness.
