60 years have passed since Luna's return. Many things have changed, and not all for the better. But even in the run-down, crime-ridden urban sprawl of Detrot, one facet of Equestria seems determined to withstand any test of time: Ponies love a good celebration.

This year's Nightmare Night party at the Detrot Police Department Headquarters was shaping up to be one of the most magnificent yet, but when a magical mishap leaves Detective Hardy stranded in a cell with his partner, his driver, the eccentric city coroner, and several crates of cupcake vodka, the evening descends instead into alcohol-soaked reminiscence about a Nightmare Night long past...

On the most important day of Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle's lives, Princess Luna finds herself as busy as ever making sure all of the arrangements go according to plan. The last thing she needs to worry about is one of the brides having second thoughts about the decision looming around the corner. After some words of guidance from the princess of the night, the mare in question knows what she needs to do. But will she be able to walk down the aisle if her hooves are still too cold?
Written as a (late) birthday present for the lovely and talented artist bri-sta, who is also the artist of the image I'm using as a cover, since it's what I used as inspiration for this little story.

Far to the north, in the Crystal Empire, Princess Cadance has a ceremony known as the blindfold wedding, and ponies come from all over with the hopes of finding a mate. Somehow, Princess Cadance has her ways and means, and her blindfold weddings have a curiously high success rate, given what they are: two strangers who have never met getting hitched with one another.

Furious Funnel, a tornado wrangler by trade, decides that it is time to do something else with his life. After saying goodbye to his bosom companion Braeburn, he heads north with the hopes of finding a bride. He might not get what he wants, or even expects, but he’ll get exactly what he needs.

With his beloved princess locked away in the tower of an evil vizard, the heroic young knight goes forth to confront his nemesis.

Along the way, he has to contend with two snotty sisters, one horrendous hippogriff, all while towing a wagonload of baggage. Can Nuance deal with the dreadful Dark?

Jitterbug, daughter of Junebug, just doesn't want to work in her mother's garden, because gardens are boring and gross. No, she'd rather go out and have an adventure. After gathering some much needed supplies, she arms herself with her trusty spatula and her pot-lid shield, before sneaking out the back gate to explore the wide world around her.

Along the way she discovers that she has an previously unknown aunt, a giant spider that calls himself Aunt Nancy, and together, they go into the dark and spooky White Tail Woods.

Sometimes, the strongest love is felt from a broken heart. Letting go is hard. Sometimes, there is no better way to say, 'I love you,' than to part and go your separate ways.

Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, goes to Las Pegasus to attend the Great Equestrian Bake-Off. Being Twilight Sparkle, she can't have a pleasant trip, no. She finds herself in a convoluted mess of tribalism, government mandated fairness, a dying element of earth pony culture, and what just might be the remnants of the Great Equestrian Dream, a unity that might have never existed.

Left with no other choice, Twilight decides it is time to smash the system, forgetting that she is the system. Somehow, Twilight manages to lead a revolt against her own authority.
