Jessica finds herself flung into a world she has little concept of. Everything is strange and new to her, but worst of all she cannot communicate with the native inhabitants. A world of monsters and sapient ponies, griffons and other assorted beasts is no place for a human girl.

How will Jessica cope? Without an understanding of their language how will she make her way in the world, will she even be able to ever communicate with them? Why was she even brought into the world and is there even a way for her to get home?

It's your general HiE story. Human arrives, human is introduced, human adjusts, human falls in love, subsequent pony falls in love with human, marriage, the end. But what a lot of stories don't tell is that the human eventually dies. It could be dying on the field of battle, locked in combat with some immortal foe. Or maybe he slowly succumbs to the sands of time in the background of other, more important things. It eventually happens whether we like it or not.

But what happens after that?... Does he fade from the minds of his friends over time? Completely forgotten in all but a statue and an inscription in the royal gardens?

Or does he stay at the forefront of their thoughts? Forever remembered by his wife in a desperate attempt of find some way to bring him back to life while all those around her keep telling her to move on, "forgive and forget they say", "move on" they say.

"No" she said. "NO!" she yelled in their faces!

She will wait for all eternity if need be, just waiting for the day that she can have her love monkey back!

Authors notes: I have seen so many good stories here, some that are more than worthy of big budget book publishers... And I want to be one of them. So it is with this that I ask you.

Be as critical and analyzing as you can. Spot everything you can that would make this story better whether it be better descriptions, better dialogue, the way a character reacts to a situation, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!

At first, we thought it was Discords doing, then we found out, it was something much worse ... Something, with a black heart ...

Black Star is a rare talent in the field of black magic. After many years of study she is on the verge of something amazing, tantalizing and by many thought to be impossible. The summoning of a spirit from another realm. If she succeeds, this new spirit will be the first to grace the world since the six in the beginning of time. From the shadows her benefactor is looking on with interest. But is this really the ultimate goal of the research she's been put in charge of? Come with me into the world of Spectrum, and follow the lives and adventures from several walks of life. There are influential ponies from the military, the spirit from another realm, and even a little family from North Bay, all trying to survive what the world throws at them.

Before we begin, I have to warn sensitive readers that the story centers on a sensitive subject; the exploitation of others in some form or another. The gore in the story is mostly light, but the dark and tragedy tags are not on this story by accident. There are some pretty grim moments, but there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. I think... maybe...

PS: This is a story in the same universe as True Colors. But it is intended as a standalone story... for now… okay it will intertwine with True Colors but can still be read on its own.
PS nr2: Twilight and Nightmare Moon are background ponies in the story, but the while be popping up every now and again.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash have been close friends for a long time and, for some reason Rainbow Dash has never been able to understand, it seems as if everyone she knows expects them to get together eventually. To Rainbow Dash's surprise, Applejack abruptly decides that their friends are right and asks her out on a date. To Applejack's surprise, Rainbow Dash immediately turns her down.

Unfortunately for Rainbow Dash, Applejack is nothing if not stubborn, and she declares that she won't give up until Rainbow Dash has agreed to go on a date with her, no matter what it takes.
