To escape from Tartarus is nearly impossible, even for one of great magical power. When you've lost your powers and are little more than a withered old centaur, it's even harder. But Tirek has a plan, one that will draw in a creature from a world where life is cheap, hats are plentiful, and gravel is king. A gigantic robot bounty hunter freelance peacekeeping agent is stalking Equestria, destroying everything it sees. Meanwhile, Twilight is more concerned with finding a copy of a book about moths. Yes, it's going to be another one of those days.

Earth-pony Twilight Sparkle has always been a little "out there". But while testing her latest crazy idea, she finds that there are places even farther than that...

The sorcerers have been defeated. Their artifact stolen from their grasp, their partnership ruined, their presumptive "rebellion" stamped out, and their base destroyed. Although the revolutionaries were not captured, their every plan fell apart to nothing before the arcane wit of Trixie Lulamoon and the martial prowess of Ranma Saotome. Even the mighty dragon prince Kamikazan, the last gambit of the dastardly unicorns, fled before the conquering heroes.
Yet Ranma and Trixie return to Equestria not as heroes, but as fugitives from Equestrian law. The great Serpent King has been weakened and humbled, but still roams the sky once more, seeking his former glory. Blood Rite hides in the shadows, seething with new hatred, his list of grievances running longer as his patience withers. It was supposed to be boring. The Annual Magic Users Convention is the one event of the year that recognizes all the accomplishments that unicorns, alicorns and other magic users have made. It's usually a night of long-winded speeches, mind-numbing presentations and unappetizing food. But when a certain mailmare finds two tickets to the convention addressed to her house, she decides that it is not only her privilege, but her duty to attend. And after suitably preparing herself for the occasion, she changes what is usually a boring night into one of the wildest and most bizarre experiences in a thousand years.

Many have opposed Celestia and all of them have fallen, one way or another. Some she has slain. Others she redeemed. Her servants and friends have done great deeds in her name and her fame has spread throughout all of creation. She is the Sun in all of its glory.

And yet she finds that she cannot get a single child to believe she is even real.

Dark times lay ahead for the ponies of Equestria. A dark force comes to take their lands and their magic, to leave them all but helpless. Subjugated to life under a tyrant, their only salvation will come in the form of a champion, a champion who wrestles bears for fun. Zangief, the Red Cyclone, is their only hope.

Unfortunately for them, he's playing for the wrong team.
