In a world without magic, Flash and Fluttershy are two new rising singers at the Canterlot opera house who decide to help a mysterious pony by doing two things: protect the opera house from a terrible threat made by a patron, and help write an opera with no story! While working on their part, they recall their last memories of the life they knew before they came to the opera house and try to solve a puzzle on whether or not the rest of their family is alive.

Discord has always admired Fluttershy in a way that would be viewed odd, and with his latest history of coldly betraying her, he had to step up his game. Even if he hadn't deceived her the way he did, Discord still would be forced to admit it some time--otherwise someone else might take her for themselves. He was famous for keeping what he desired to be within his claws and to be claimed rightfully his. One thing is getting in his way, though.
