The star system Omega Centauri was just another oddity on a map to scientists in the not too distant future. However when they found the star was orbiting an earth-sized, earth-like planet instead of a black hole as its motion had suggested, a mission was scrambled to investigate this most unusual of celestial behaviors.

Unfortunately, a message from his king, Jove V, has turned his prison sentence into a mission of espionage. Along the way, he will answer one of the most important questions he has ever faced: Is there really nothing to eat around here besides hay?

Twilight's curiosity pushes her to go where no bookworm has gone before: on dates. Dates with lots of unfamiliar (and not so unfamiliar) mares. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Twilight is granted the opportunity to show off some of her smarts by giving a presentation at the Canterlot School of Magic about life in and around Equestria. However, while she practices one of the transformation spells she got in a book from Zecora, she finds out a lot about the spell, but much, much more about her little dragon assistant.
