3 years ago, Princess Celestia ascended to The Great Beyond, leaving King Flash Sentry and Queen Twilight Sparkle in charge of Equestria. Twilight has the Tree of Harmony uprooted from the Everfree Forest and re-planted in a garden in Canterlot, but Twilight doesn't realize the consequences until Equestria is once again threatened by the black vines from the Everfree Forest.

After exterminating the pesky weeds, Twilight becomes unpopular with her subjects, and her family is put in danger.

This story is a sequel to Kiss of the Dark

Six months after the events of Kiss of the Dark, Twilight is deep into her pregnancy with Sombra's child. The foal is due any moment now, and she grows more excited by the day.

However, her memories of Sombra still haunt her. Torturing her in her dreams, making her feel guilty for the things she's done with him....

Once Celestia catches wind of it, she takes it upon herself to help her former student once more. After all, its best that they fix things once and for all before the foal arrives...

King Sombra survived his defeat, but just. By the time he returned to form, Twilight became the newest princess of Equestria and the Crystal Empire was restored to its former glory.

Follow Princess Twilight as she goes from being a cute little baby filly to where she comes to a time in her life where she will be chosen to defeat Nightmare Moon, and free her long lost Aunt Luna. She must befriend the mares of the Elements of Harmony in time to defeat Nightmare Moon and save her mother's kingdom from eternal night. Determined to learn how to use his Dark Magic for Good, Twilight brought Sombra back to Ponyville with her. After all, what could he possibly do as a horn? ...Or will he stay that way?
