Tragedy strikes Ponyville, forcing Rainbow, Twilight and Rarity to work through their guilt and pain, and come up with a plan to set things right, but for it to work, they must perform questionable acts, steal ancient secrets, use dark magic and amass great fortune, all behind the vigilant eyes of Equestria, as a last shot for the sake of a friend.
Rainbow Dash had grown used to hiding her feelings for her friend until one dream shakes her to the core. Now she is up all hours of the night, unable to eat, sleep or even fly right. However, her pain is nothing compared to the oncoming threat to Ponyville. A griphon regime is rising, vengeance of years of oppression in their eyes. An AppleDash story with a side of chaos.
When Rainbow Dash suddenly proclaims her love and adoration for a certain 'Miss Sparkle' and tells her friends the story of how the unicorn 'fixed' her, the girls are hesitant to take the situation at face value. However, even they can't deny it when the facts begin to build into a case against Twilight. Twilight claims innocence but her words sound like hollow excuses and obvious lies. The four of them are left wondering if Twilight Sparkle is truly the hero she once was or if she has finally allowed her true nature to show: the nature of a heartless psychopath.

[ 'Miss Sparkle' occurs a few months before Twilight's ascension, early in the spring of Twilight's second year in Ponyville. According to my version of the chronological timeline, the only episodes of the first three seasons that have yet to take place are (in chronological order) "Wonderbolts Academy", "Just for Sidekicks", "Games Ponies Play", "Spike At Your Service", "Keep Calm and Flutter On" and "Magical Mystery Cure". ]

What sort of twisted reality contains a lycan Applejack, a vampiric Fluttershy, a ghostly Rarity, and a lich queen Twilight Sparkle, you may ask? Why, it's just the Nightmare Realm, existing one and a half dimensions below and above the normal Equestria, and they are sick and tired of Nightmare Night not living up to its name in the 'real' world.
However, are these nightmares truly nightmares, or do they just like a good scare? Why, it depends on who you're talking to! So sit tight, give way to fright, for coming soon is Nightmare Night!
Rainbow Dash never did the sonic rainboom and everything is vastly different for the mane 6.
The world we know never happened and all of the mares have gone on to live their own lives, will they reunite when Nightmare Moon returns, or will they have their own lives to worry about?
This is a darker twist on the realm as war and Nightmare Moon go hoof in hoof.

In respect the Wonderbolts do a performance for her at the site of her death. However, a certain Cyan mare is hard to kill, and is loyal to the ends of the universe, she can say that with certainty now, she’s been, and now she’s back. But what is she wearing, and where did she go for two years? Buckle up, for in Equestria there may be peace, but in the 41st Millennium, there is only war.

A year passes and while Celestia tries to once again shoulder the responsibilities of the crown without her sister Luna by her side, the investigations into what happened and why have born little fruit. Rainbow Dash, the weather pony of the now ruined Ponyville, may be the key to discovering at last what happened to Luna, her friends, and her town. And perhaps what exactly it is the Candy Mare wants.
