The CMC love to hang out, solve Cutie Mark problems, and have sleepovers, but the other Crusaders start to notice that they know much less about Scootaloo than they had originally thought. When an event happens that shocks everypony in Ponyville, The CMC are taken on an adventure that digs up parts of Scootaloo's past that even she didn't know about.

Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle. My brothers are Shining Armor, captain of the Royal Guard, and a dragon named Spike that I hatched when I was little. I have five friends that help me wield the Elements of Harmony, artifacts that protect Equestria from evil. I have a few other friends that are less important, but still great ponies nonetheless.

One catch, though. I am also a changeling Queen, and the friends and family I just mentioned are all my subjects, and children as well. They don't even know it, but everything's working out alright, so no reason to tell them! After all, it's not like a giant wave of love energy could suddenly reveal all the changelings in Canterlot, right? Right?

Part 1, Revelation: Twilight Sparkle meets an old enemy that reveals a secret she's kept since she was named.

Part 2, Recollection: The Elements of Harmony try to get to the truth of the matter, changeling Queens begin their game of chess, Queen Citlali takes her Hive and runs from Canterlot.

Part 3, Reformation: Queen Citlali begins to grow her hive, Whitetail Hive takes some time to get used to the news, Princess Cadance dreams of a dark creature.

Side story of Chaos: the Age of Spike.

Since his first Nightmare Night, Pipsqueak and Luna have shared a beautiful friendship.
And the young pony has always dreamed about becoming Luna’s knight in shining armor.

A dream that he decides to pursue at the age of eighteen, when he enlists in the Lunar Guard. The strongest soldiers of Equestria, under the command of their feared and admired leaders, the Black Swordsman and the Lightning Flash.

Ever since his defeat, Tirek has been more or less used to the absolutely dull and soul-draining monotony of his imprisonment.

He certainly wasn't expecting visitors at any point during his internment, and definitely not Twilight Sparkle's little stoodge.

M/M slash. Canon divergence, takes place before Season 8. Slow burn, sorta kinda enemies to friends to lovers, redemption arc(?), rare pairing.

After the Princesses, Starlight, and the mane six die in a tragic accident, Spike has to take the throne.
