"Hey, uh, Rick, what did you want me to, uh, write down here again?"

"Look, Morty, it's not that urp complicated, just, just write down a generic description of what we did."

"But Rick, we did a lot of things!"

"Then figurp it out, Morty. Christ, and here I thought you were getting at least a bit smarter. Just, write down something about, uh, 'Rick and Morty Get Stuff From Horse Land'. 'Morty and Rick and something something horse pun'. I dunno, something."

"I want to go back to the ponies..."

"Oh, I bet you would like that, huh, MMMorty? Go back to the girly dimension full of urp friendship and magic and all that. Look, just give it here, I'll, uh, just put it up as it is."

20-year-old Ryan Burbank is living with his girlfriend in their woodland home when he is struck by a mysterious infection seemingly out of nowhere. To everyone's horror, his sickness spreads quickly throughout his body, shutting him down one piece at a time. The doctors are at a loss of what to do about this new form of bacteria. Ryan and his loved ones choose to keep fighting until either a cure can be discovered...or the pain becomes too much.
At the height of his suffering, he discovers a happy little show while watching television in his hospital room. The bright colors and happy attitudes of the cartoon equines provide him with a much-needed escape from the daily pain of being killed from the inside.
Eventually, the pain becomes too much and he decides it would be better to go out surrounded by his family, in the embrace of those who kept him company throughout his short life. Just as he starts to fade, his eyes wander to the screen of the hospital room television and the cartoon ponies who adorn it. Something strange begins to occur...almost like the screen is pulling him in. Tunnel vision, maybe?
No, that can't be it...why can he hear his name being called by a very familiar voice? And why is she...crying? Who is this crying, familiar voice and why does she seem to know him?

(This story is a Fusion of Friendship is Magic with Ranma 1/2, ponifying the Ranma cast and meshing them into the world as if they were always there. Thus events will play out differently. Both from Ranma and MLP. Big Thanks to Prosopeio for helping with the concept and editing)

"Crystal Synergy used to be a middle-aged brony before she abruptly appeared as a young filly at the spot where lightning had struck the ground out of the clear blue sky, roughly two years before the Sonic Rainboom. She only wants to help. What could possibly go wrong?" :pinkiehappy:

"I can't believe you just said that, Pinkie..." :facehoof:

Crystal has lived ten years with fading memories about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic canon and fanon, the first two of which were spent unable to make any but the most illegible notes as she tried to keep them separated in her head. Not helping matters is the fact that while things mostly seem to be lining up with what she thinks is canon, there is a difference between events as presented in the thirty-minute blocks of a show aimed at a younger demographic (and intended to help sell toys) and living in that setting as a real world with a dynamic history. And she's not quite sure which version of Equestria she's actually in, but things seem to be just enough like what Crystal Synergy believes to be canon that she thinks she has a fair idea of what may happen, and how to help navigate or circumvent some of the more worrying problems looming on the horizon.

A little foreknowledge couldn't hurt, right?

A little foreknowledge can prove to be a very dangerous thing indeed. Especially when you aren't sure which bits of foreknowledge are actually true. And just ignoring the foreknowledge doesn't help either, because some of it is true...

A bit of a grab bag of categories: AU and Human should be self explanatory, but Random was selected because the story fluctuates between serious and silly, adventure and slice-of-life, and black-and-white values vs. blue-and-orange values.

Chapters (11)

Can Equestria handle the impact caused by Wild Pony, who is actually the somewhat scrambled and ponified martial arts prodigy and weirdness magnet otherwise known as Ranma Saotome?

Set after the failed wedding at the end of Ranma ½ and approximately three years before the return of Nightmare Moon, then rapidly skips ahead to just a few months prior.

Now has a side story: My Little Sphinx

On a side note, like MLP:FiM itself, the story will mainly be Slice of Life, with the occasional sections of Action/Adventure popping up now and then. I mention this because I couldn't choose both tags, and of the two, this story weighs in more on the Slice of Life side.

This story is a sequel to Across the Sea of Time

[First Person] [Alternating Perspectives] [Science Fantasy]
The Sea Series: Book Two (Alpha)

NOTE: You do not need to read the previous book to fully enjoy Beneath the Sea of Sand.

The changelings of the Emerald Hive are known mostly as a highly reclusive bunch of people squatting under a hill in the Equestrian Badlands. Ponies living near their hive have reported strange happenings more often than not, weird lights in the sky at night, strange sounds, and the fact no pony who has visited has ever said more then a few words about their hive at all have made many ponies uneasy over the years.

After an attack on a Diamond Dog mine to seize a large amount of Arcaneite, the Emeralds Queen is revealed to be Phoenix, the AI of an alien starship changeling hive spent generations repairing. To many ponies amazement, Phoenix quickly made an offer of mutual assistance and advanced technology in exchange for food for her changelings.

Celestia decides to accept Queen Phoenix offer, but with one condition: Twilight, her friends, and their immediate families must first live within the Emerald's hive for a year to learn if their cultures are compatible, and what dangers her technology might present.

Beneath the Sea of Sand is a work of Science Fiction, specifically the Science Fantasy genera, which combines tropes and elements from both science fiction and fantasy. You can expect to see magic and all things FiM (made a bit more Swords and Sorcery), and also crashed alien space craft, AIs, high technology, and themes meant to explore the human condition.

Beneath the Sea of Sand is inspired by FiM, my old D&D games, the works of Isaac Asimov, Clive Cussler, and Douglas Adams. While there is a running joke and plot point involving Star Trek, you do not need any knowledge of Trek to enjoy Beneath the Sea of Sand.

[First Person] [Alternating Perspectives] [Science Fantasy]
The Sea Series: Book One

Three humans, their RV, and their luggage are hurled many centuries into Earth's future, where Ponykind and magic rules the world. For most humans, being stranded in the distant future in a world where their species no longer exists would be a curse, but these three are the adventurous sort. Stranded as strangers in a strange land there is only one thing to do, explore!

Howeaver, a chance encounter with a changeling scout sweeps them into the sea of adventure as an ancient human built Artificial Intelligence begs them to help her create a stable civilization for the changelings who live within her hull.

Equestria: a new frontier. These are the voyages of the Winnebago Sagan. Its indefinite mission: to explore a strange new world, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before, and build some alien bug girls a nice home.

[First Person] [Alternating Perspectives] [Equisverse Era 1]

In the year 2199, artificial intelligence has advanced to the point where it is no longer practical to have human pilots. This puts Lyra Heartstrings into a forced retirement. Or rather, it puts Lyra from Earth number 7 into retirement. A Lyra born in the extremely distant past before Equestria as human. Lyra 7, an anomaly of the multiverse.

This Lyra is given the chance to pursue the life of adventure she always wanted when her ‘forced retirement moping’ is interrupted by the arrival of an experimental piece of technoarcana capable of opening portals into other dimensions. Unfortunately for Lyra 7, it’s broken, and her tinkering can’t totally fix it. Unable to set her own destination, or fully charge the device and thus unable make more than one portal per charge. Lyra can only wander from universe to random universe in search of the pony (and the proper version of that pony) who made the Vortex Manipulator in order to find her way back home.

For my fan’s convenience: This story takes place in multiple incarnations of the Equisverse. Keeping track of what is and is not cannon to it is futile. All of my stories are canon to this, as this story happens ‘episodically’ in multiple Equestrias. It’s a dimension hopping story. However, this is being done in the more serious tone of Beta, the more “serious” timeline.
