I'm willing to bet that a lot of Bronies would love to visit the land of Equestria; if only to see it. I sorta got that wish... instead I find myself in a human variant of it known as Arcania in the Krystal Kingdom. Not that I'm complaining of course, the day I got raptured over here was a College day anyway.

(My first foray into fan fiction and probably my only one, let me know what you think and how I can improve! Unsure about the rating, I'll leave it teen for now. I eventually plan to turn this into an Epic, so hopefully my storytelling skills will improve significantly before then. Also I use a lot of pictures in my story to offset my sucky descriptive skills, so props to the artists and what not!)

This story is a sequel to Welcome the Unknown

Nearly a year and a half ago, Discord ripped Matt from Earth to Equestria to use him like a battery while he slumbered in stone, biding his time. When the two finally came together, the mere human managed to outwit the Spirit of Chaos and put an end to his short reign.

Several months have gone by since then, and all things considering, Matt has made a decent life for himself. He has friends, a home, activities to help pay the bills, the usual. But on one particularly average day, something he never imagined he'd ever see again appears and – whether he realizes it or not – threatens to throw everything out of balance. Too bad it's only the first in a series of things to come. What does it mean for Equestria? More importantly, what does it mean for Matt?

Rated Teen for some language and a couple suggestive themes. Reading the first part is recommended, but references to what happened will appear here and there as the story goes so that you should be able to piece things together in case you decide not to check it out. If you do, I hope you enjoy it!

Ancient beings of long since past are returning, but for good or ill? Where once the world made sense and peace flourished, will it all fall apart? We had liberated Luna from the darkness known as Nightmare Moon, just as Celestia had asked of us, even if we all did it for the good of Equestria.

Just as we set Discord in stone, although we later liberated him and helped him back to a life worth living with friends. Celestia had entrusted the second part of this in Flutter Shy's capable hands, apparently she knew.

That is in the past, things has happened since.

Now I am a Queen in my own right. I have Chysalis by my side. She proved to be both nice and helpful, when you got to know her. We never did know her back then.

Mike Patterson is a world renown rock climber whose life's goal is to climb to the top of Mt. Everest what happens when at the end of his climb there is an explosion that sends him to a new world and in this new world is populated by strange creatures with the ability to use magic, control the weather, and fly. Not to mention the size of their breast.

Now, stuck in a completely new world with its own problems and internal conflicts. Davril has to fit in with the locals whilst at the same time trying to fulfill the contract given to him by the stranger.

Author's Notes: Just a few details I like to share with you all, first and foremost:

- There will be no swearing or cussing in the story (though mild swearing I might allowed)
- There will be NO alcohol in the story though playful references and jabs will be in place, like with the doughnut scene with Spike in the Season 1 finale
- There will be some Japanese Otaku Ecchiness involved, but nothing too crazy
- No Same Sex Pairing, everyone is Straight in this story so don't expect any romance between the same sex at all. No offense to fans of it or people who are into that sort of thing, but I've seen it done to death so many times and in a lot of romance stores here on Fimfiction I've grown a little tired of it
- NO HEAT CYCLE like a good portion of other Anthro Pony stories I've read, though unless there's demand of it I might make a spin-off one-shot of it
- Like with no heat cycle there is no Clop (or Lemon) in this story, though if people are interested I might do a side-story that focuses on it but no promises
- All the characters, dialogue, and violence will be closely matched the same as the show so don't expect blood or gore at all in this story (maybe a few scrapping, but that's it)

Only to find such treasures ring hollow in his jaded world view as his past is always on the tail of his today filling his life with pain.

Events beyond his understanding have trapped the broken misanthrope to a world so much like his own and tie the disaster he considers his life to those of six mares, each one loyal, kind, generous, honest and full of laughter; whose inherent nature may have the magic needed to mend his damaged self once and for all.

Finding Home, Discovering Life is an HiE (Human in Equestira) story, the ponies are Anthropomorphic just to let you know. Despite my description of Vasili "Vas" Maksimov above, you will notice the sad tag has been left out, that's because it is my goal to make this a story about hope and healing triumphing over inner darkness and deep emotional scars; it's also why I left out the tragedy tag. The Sex and Gore tags are there because I want to take the story into adult situations that will deal with everything from Vas's child abuse to an exploration of a budding relationship across species and the very real issues that may arise. Finally, while at this time there is no fate of the world adventure planned for this story yet it still has the Adventure tag, I for one can't think of any greater adventure than discovering a whole new world.

The story is a challenge to myself. An exercise in character development, world building and vocabulary. As always I don't have an editor, but I love feedback positive or negative, so feel free to leave it.
