A few days after the Friendship Games, Rainbow Dash falls mysteriously ill. With human medicine unable to provide answers, Sunset Shimmer turns to the magic of her homeworld in hopes of finding the cause for the mysterious affliction.

Set in the continuity of law abiding pony's Hive series, running paralell to certain events of For the Hive

Princess Twilight Sparkle has died a hero, but no one knows why.

Between an ancient evil that had not even existed until she struck it down, a mysterious crystal ball that bears some unknown significance, and a set of cryptic notes and behaviors from the princess during her final days, the circumstances behind it all are murky at best and suspect at worst.

And the rabbit hole only grows deeper from there.

The Crystal Ball Trilogy is a series of stories which deal with time travel, parallel universes, and other manipulations of time and space. Feedback is the first story; it is succeeded by Substitute and Divergence.

Hi. If you're listening to me, chances are you're probably not a human. Or, at least, not anymore. Human's don't really exist around here, except others in other forms. Me, I'm pretty much unique. Unique among the unique. And I like this place. Beats getting a swirly on a daily basis anytime. Except for maybe the almost-dying part, but even that seems better. This is my story. How I went from being everybody's favorite punching bag to a legendary beast. Who knows, maybe you'll catch lucky and come here with me. Probably better than living on the planet of the jerks. But enough about that. Let me tell you about, well, me.

This is a part of the many-writer story called "Chess Game of the Gods", which started with Rust's "The Ballad of Echo the Diamond Dog" which merged with Blackwing's "Griffin the Griffin", and many others joined. Permission has been granted.

Sup, the name's Mark. Or was Mark, anyway that's not to important anymore. Just know that while I lived on Earth, I was constantly under pressure to follow the rules and fit a mold that didn't fit well with me. My life was constantly controlled by a system I despised.

Well since getting sucker punched into Equestria by a goddess those days are over. Being the one and only Winged Wolf in the known world is a huge help to being able to make my own rules. I'm finally free to do what I want, when I want, and how I want and that's exactly what I'm planning on doing.

Set in the same universe as The Ballad of Echo the Diamond Dog and Griffin the Griffin.

I did get permission from both Rust and BlackWing to use the same setting as their characters. Go read both of their stories. They're awesome. Reading them is what made me want to write this story in the first place, so if you liked this, you'll fall in love with those stories.

Added the Dark tag just in case. There will be a decent amount of violence later on. Will add character tags as they become important to the story.

I always wanted to go to Equestria. When I got the chance, I took the deal without reading the fine print. To my surprise, I didn't arrive there as a pony, or even as a human. It seems I get to view this world from a different perspective than what I've imagined.
