Just a nice, polite Canadian.

Flurry Heart is older now, and as such, has begun to realize the immense pressure it takes to become a proper Princess. So, after careful deliberation, she decides there's only one thing left to do.

Run away.

Until a certain Princess comes to speak with her, that is.

This is way cuter than I thought it would be.

Yay you wrote it, and it's adorable!

Cute story. I also appreciated the twist.

“I thought of that, too!” Flurry Heart chirped. She’d given this topic more thought than the others. “Now, because I wouldn’t want to get noticed too much, I’d settle for a much simpler job… like the mayor of a small town.”

Only a princess would think being a mayor is a simple job. Very cute.

I think Queen Chrysalis just wanted to talk, maybe.

Either way, this is more adorable than it has any right to be.

Flurry is a smart filly, figuring out the truth like that. I think the whole "join me in evil" offer at the end was just an act to save face though. Chrysalis just did not want to admit that she actually cared and wanted to help little Flurry.

Wow this was a really sweet story!

How sweet.

Flurry, make sure you hug her for a good minute or two. That should be long enough.

Why does Flurry Heart look like Sweetie Belle?

This is so sweet! Its OVER 9000!

“Let’s see,” Flurry Heart explained, as she pulled out each item. “I brought along an extra toque. Some mittens. A few coloring books in case I get bored. A compass. Some bits I took out of my piggybank—”

“Your piggybank?” Luna asked in a hushed tone. “You mean you had to actually smash that poor porcelain figure?”

Flurry Heart nodded gravely. “Yes. But I made sure to apologize to Sir Porkins before I did. I told him it was for an emergency.”

Don't modern day versions of those come with a hole and a cork to prevent having to smash them? Little pointless comment, but still.

And now, a moment of silence for Sir Porkins. He is survived by his only known next of kin

:ajbemused:..... You're REALLY gonna make me do this, huh?

*sigh* Ok

I think it's sweet and it was worth reading.

Truly there is no pork more noble.

Set

That was a very nice read. Though the Chrysalis change was a little odd, it was pretty nice

I love this. It's cute and touching and very, very clever. The only gripe I have is with the cover art - plain vectors don't suit this little gem, and I'm a cover art junkie, so...

Either way, I loved this little piece. Flurry was very realistically written and there was just enough drama to help the story along.

She grinned. If there was a single pony that knew more about astrology than the pony she was currently with…

“Carina looks really nice tonight,” Flurry Heart said.

Luna barely gave the sky a second glance. “Yes, it does, doesn’t it?”

A block of ice dropped in Flurry Heart’s belly.

Wish you hadn't included this bit, I would have liked it more if it came out of left field. Still incredibly cute.

poor Sir Porkins :fluttercry:

This is so freaking cute!

Actually, Sir Porkin was replaced by a brave and noble cow shaped bank dubbed Sir Loin.

Interesting idea. I thought Chrysalis did a pretty good job copying Luna, not perfect, but pretty good.
I was wondering if you meant astronomy instead of astrology? They way you wrote the story made it sound like she likes astronomy (like the constellations) but astrology isn't outside the realm of possibility.

8228615
Thank God, someone else caught it.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be astronomy, not astrology.

Luna’s tried to laugh it off.

Luna

Good story. Nice twist.

Hey, at least Sunburst can probably fix Sir Porkins with an Ancient Artifact Repairal Spell.

Cuteness has arrived.

Instant classic. The concept, the twist, all of it.

8230246 Thanks for saying so! Glad you enjoyed it.

8228615 Yes, astronomy. Fixed. Thanks! :ajsmug:

8228188 Really? I still thought it still came out of left field. So much so, I thought people would complain. :applejackunsure:

8227591 I don't search very long for art. Do you have a better one I could use? I'm serious here.

But, also, thanks for reading and commenting! :pinkiehappy:

8226786 Sorry, but the image of Flurry Heart holding a hammer, about to smash something, is just too cute. :scootangel:

8226476 Yep. Charge her up like a battery. :yay:

8226304 Help Flurry Heart... all so she could kidnap her later! :pinkiecrazy:

8226299 You know, it actually had that tag and a slightly different description until a minute before I posted. Mostly, because anything with Chrysalis gets more views. Then I thought, "Screw it. A twist is a twist."

I'm currently on a mobile device, but when I get the chance, I'll be raiding all my pony pic sources and will PM my finds.

“Whenever I eat Pony Crackers, I always bite the wings and horns off first.”

Who doesn't?

A very cute story, loved it. Anty Crysalis

First of all great story read it and I loved the ending. The only thing that bugs me a bit is the art cover. It should be one that represents the flury heart on the story, which is a toddler aged Flury heart not a teenager (or grown up) like the Art work shows. Although that is just my opinion :ajsmug:.

-Techy

Sorry it took me so long to find time to read this. And sorry that you aren't satisfied with how it turned out.
Personally I found nothing but good in it. The background was well fleshed out, the dialog stayed true to what I envisioned the characters saying. Flurry's cleverness in tricking Chryssi was well played. And Chryssi's honesty tugged at the ole ticker.
Good stuff my friend. Good stuff!

Loved it. I'm glad this got written.

QUICK! TO THE PRINCESS SHACK!

(great story btw)

8356633 Can't be any worse than Radio Shack, right?

“Twenty-seven-and-a-half minutes, to be precise.”

Is that a joke about length of episodes?

Ah so that is a bit of honesty in that bug shell of hers. Still evil lol. Nice story

This certainly had an unexpected twist to it. Flurry Heart was given surprisingly good advice here, too. Thanks for sharing.

This was adorable, and it had such a strangely heartwarming twist.

Flurry Heart's mental age is all over the place, but it's a cute story regardless.
+1 Pony Cracker for surprise bug queen.

“Twenty-seven-and-a-half minutes, to be precise.”

HAHAHAHAH
Did pinkie write that line?
