I would still love to see shining walk in on him, twilight, and cadence.
I'm willing to bet money the incident with Chief involves the word "coercion", and I'll leave it at that. Otherwise, good on him for all his acomplishments this chapter! He got a way to spellcast, he's begun emotionally healing, he's confirmed that Sunbutt is becoming a better person (slowly, but surely), he's fully realized the extent of his feelings, and is coming to terms with them! Oh, and we finally got pretty much all our Dark Magic Questions answered.
Good on him, though, since I would've immediately started attempting to construct a phylactery, because lichdom. So, you know, glad to see we have a True Neutral, because I would've just started training myself with it, if Noir would refuse to, while attempting to steal some of Luna's half to shove into the ritual for additional power. Two birds; Luna no longer has to deal with Nightmare, and not have to deal with the other half taking over; one stone; she's being destroyed to fuel my ascent to nigh immortality.
After all, undeath is better than Hell...
8115437 Coercion implies that he had a semblance of a choice in the matter.
I was hoping that my explanations were in depth enough to get the limitations and guidelines clear. It's invaluable to know what people want to know more about.
Power thirsty, perhaps?
8115462 He could've refused, and had it taken by force. Just because it's two shitty fucking choices by a piece of guttertrash filthy shit that deserves whatever horrible vengeance that would be worthy the name "Count of Monte Cristo", doesn't mean there are no choices.
And, on your last note, yes; yes, I am, indeed, powerthirsty. Always have been, always will be.
I'm feeling a little sorry for the waitress.

man celestia can be fucking savage at times eh im not sure i can take tia calling my dick small, but im mostly a trixie fan eh i dunno who knows what a relationship with the great and powerful trixie would be like.....on kinda unrelated note will trixie make an appearance at all or....its....been awhile since i read this
I honestly enjoy those stories where Celestia is deeper and darker then she appears. Running a country for a thousand years is not something a sane person can do. But then in the show, the world is bright and wonderful. But when applied to the possible realities of the situation, all hell breaks down.
I am glad Twilight isn't going to hold it all against Celestia. They deserve the mother/daughter relationship together. I honestly am looking forward to reading more of this, even as Kaid grows in power from his time amongst the ponies.
Makes me want to start back up on Diary of a Madman again too. These two stories have a lot in common. I only wish the protagonist of Madman had half the sense of forgiveness and reconciliation that Kaid did.

Thanks for the comment, and to address the similarities to Diaries of a Madman, I first started writing after getting in touch with whatmustido and Zenith Starwalker. Got me started in writing and I took a lot of inspiration from both authors at different points.
I've always liked the idea of a totalitarian ruler that makes their peace last through subjugation and smiles, and Celestia struck me as the type more so than anyone else in anything else I've ever seen or read, thus attracting me to MLP in the first place.
Everyone deserves a second chance!
I personally think that Kaid/Max is a lot more brutal/unforgiving than Navarone, he's just got some severe abandonment issues. You could compare Applejack and Kat, and while Max forgave Applejack, he would've killed Kat, regardless of the circumstances. I'm pretty sure that Nav would have forgiven them both. It just depends on the situation, I suppose, but I know that Max would have killed the dicking shitty buttsacks out of Luna if she did to him what she did to Nav.
I enjoy the story and it's well written, but enough with the pot. I skip paragraphs at a time to keep from having to read about people getting high.
Otherwise, well done.
He just walks in, see's them crying: "aight imma head out."
Is it possible to learn this power
