After a major dispute with her queen, a lone female Changeling is banished from her home and forced to be on her own.
She eventually runs into Ponyville where she transforms herself into a random pony citizen to blend in. She ends up running into residents and makes some new friends while exploring.
But then she accidentally runs into a certain young dragon... one who had caught her eye during the invasion of Canterlot.

Now that the cryssaling process is done, Spike begins a new chapter of his life, and decides to get a job. however, he is met with limitations of both his own making, as well as those presented by others.

What does it mean to be the most powerful unicorn in Ponyville, maybe even in the whole of Equestria? When you can fix everything with magic, what do you do when everypony expects you to do just that? Are there limits to what Twilight´s magic can do, and what lies beyond those limits?

Little do they know, a dire threat hangs over Ponyville, and has already made plans to get divert the Mane Six's attention from the real peril at hoof. Can Spike save the residents of Ponyville and deal with his own feelings of inadequacy before his friends fall into a trap?

Twilight Sparkle, her brothers, and their friends have just dealt with Tirek, saved the breezies and grown a castle out of a small treasure chest.

The Ponyville betting pool has never had bets this wild before on what the Sparkles will do next.

Still for once they would very much like a break from all the nonsense for a while. Of course the universe has other plans.

With unstable unicorns, a tree that gives missions, dating demi gods, another suitor chasing Rahs, Song Fishies return, wanted criminals, Yaks, Discord, Friendship summits, new shops, reworking spells, crossdressing, cutie- marks, time travel, concerts, feuding families, an invasion, and the edgiest unicorn mare you have ever seen, the Sparkles and their friends find there there truly is no rest for the wicked.

And it would appear that dragons are no more welcome in Equestria than at home.

There is only one logical conclusion to the belief: try to be a unicorn. Sure being great at magic is one thing, but how does it go once she actually succeeds, but more importantly, how long can her magic abilities last?

Originally an idea stemming from a random prompt from englishwitch on a forum in the "Twilight's Library" group.
I started this because I thought it was for a write-off, but continued because I liked the concept.
Not sure if this is what was meant by the suggestion, but this is what I came up with when I thought of the prompt.
