Equestria Girls. Pinkie Pie and Twilight are out shopping for a party the next day. The carefree, happy mood evaporates when somebody is rude to Twilight, who is recovering from a medical issue. Twilight returns serve and attempts to tear the woman a new one, but when she's finished, Pinkie Pie is crying. Dismayed, the two leave the store. It's going to take a bit of intervention from a certain stone-faced older sister to let Twilight know that Pinkie isn't upset for the reason she thinks she is...

They couldn't sing anymore and they had lost their control over everyone at Canterlot High. Still, this hasn't deterred Adagio and Aria from trying to regain their powers and exact their revenge on the Rainbooms. As for Sonata, she has found herself in a odd situation. A new transfer student who is unaware of anything that happened has captured her attention with his heroics. Now she must decide whether to help Adagio and Aria get what they want, or try to move forward and better herself.

Thus, when said bookworm turned into Midnight Sparkle under the influence of the magic she released, everyone present was shocked to see their classmate become a callous and ruthless she-demon.
