He makes several unexpected friends and at the same time will discover his own powers, but will the ponies trust him because of it? He will have to convince them if he is to stop the upcoming threat and restore balance to the magic of Equestria.

If one pony says someone else is a monster, does that make it true? If everypony says that the same thing, does that make them right? There is a lot more to everybody than what first meets the eye, and if you assume that there is nothing more to them, you might just end up hurting yourself. The tale of a creature long ago thought to have been a monster and rejected by society, now locked away in his own personal prison.
