Diamond Tiara only wanted to get her best friend a great gift for Hearths Warming Day. Sadly, Silver Spoon wasn't too fond of the gift, so Diamond decided to simply give it away.

Worst. Decision. Ever.

What doesn't kill me...
Had better start running.

It takes a lot to kill the dragonborn. A lot a lot. Especially when she has something to fight for, something to live for, family to die for, or any permutation thereof. And she'll need every ounce of endurance she can muster to stand against the foes that will seek to do her harm. Even in such a peaceful land as Equestria.

Skyrim Crossover.

Eons ago, fiends fought over six crests that were forgotten by time, and ponies took over since then. The Tree of Harmony has been destroyed, and the Elements the branches held were nowhere to be found. None could pin a culprit to this heinous crime. When Twilight receives a half-blank book that's illegible, she gets attacked by a creature seen not by her eyes before.

Would the book, illegible as it is, as well as the first battle that would serve to thrust her into more battles to come and unanswered questions, have something to do with the missing Elements of Harmony?
---

Crossover with Demon's Crest, wherein crossover elements will play out much more heavily in later chapters, as will the dark element. Tags will change as needed. More vivid battle scenes, but not too vivid, will show up later on in later chapters as well. Coverart done entirely by me. Updates will be irregular.

This story is a sequel to Running

The gryphon, Angus Greenquill, has a job he hates, a kid that loves him, someone that wishes he (Angus) had never been born, and a desire to change things and actually do something he likes without failing miserably at life.

Octavia is a pony running away from success and fame, wanting to start anew without the expectations others had of her, from her family to her friends.

Maybe he can help her get a job, and she can help him realize his own dreams.

Note: This story picks up the Octavia from the story 'Running', although it's not in any way the definitive continuation of it.

Also, big thanks to Nick Nack for taking a glance at this.

The Crystal empire has begun to recover in the time since Sombra was believed to be obliterated by the power of the Crystal Heart. Crystal ponies the empire over are beginning to settle into new lifestyles, trying to adapt to a completely alien time.

The young lord of the Slate Ridge region of the Crystal empire has finally finished tying up loose ends after the funerals of his two parents before he's called to the capital to suffer through the suspicions of his fellow (he uses that word hesitatingly) nobles.

Though he seems like a well-meaning stallion despite a few...physical oddities, H.R.H. Princess Cadenza is soon to learn a secret about our young lord's bloodline that could have a few thousand of her loyal ponies shaking in their crystalline horseshoes.

And not to mention what the stallion in question will hear about in his father's final words.

I mean really! Who leaves that sort of outrageous announcement in one's will anyway?!

(( This is my first story everyone! I got this idea while mourning King Sombra's distinct lack of any sort of back-story whatsoever. I would -deeply- appreciate any constructive criticism, as this project is mostly to assist with my writing. I'm not so much interested in spelling corrections, but any clearing up you can do for my grammar and sentence structure will be welcomed with open arms. Tell me what you think of this first chapter and if it could warrant further updates. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy! ))

(( Featured !? *faints* ))

Math is simple. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on.

Ponies are not simple. They don't add up like regular numbers do, and just because one answer is four and the other is one does not mean the bigger number is necessarily greater.

Twilight experiences this inequality first hoof when one friend is pitted against four, and she is forced to choose a side, whether she wants to or not.

This story is officially cancelled. You can read my thoughts about it and why this happened here.

There are many reasons to go into the West. Abandonment of things best left behind is high on the list, right next to the seeking of something important. Something worth any amount of risk or sacrifice.

In June of 1867, along the southern border of the Idaho Territory, an abandoned, wounded traveler, his search and life at risk, is lucky enough to stumble across a decidedly singular horse. One who is also searching for something important, something where no amount of sacrifice or risk could ever be too much.

Man and mare will travel together for a time. And if they're lucky enough to survive the experience, they might just find what they're looking for.

If.

Everything seemed to be alright the day that Discord came back to Canterlot under the watchful eye of Celestia as a (mostly) redeemed draconequus. But the luxurious life of royalty is so... BORING! "Do something creative," they said, "It'll be fun," they said. Thus it was that Discord sat down and began writing the worst stories he could imagine! But between posh living, running a ministry, court dates, random quests from Celestia and Luna, and learning about the magic of friendship, surely these stories can't be that bad, can they?
